Sharon - Biography Snapshot.

Sharon was born on the 10th March 1958 in Meadville, Pennsylvania, the second of Joe and Dorothy Stone's four children Sharon was raised as a Protestant by her parents but she is now a Taoist Buddhist.

As befits a Mensa member with a genius IQ of 154, she won a scholarship to Edinboro University, Pennsylvania, at 15. Yet she still has trouble with spelling.

She was also a beauty queen in her teens and was signed to the Eileen Ford Modelling agency in New York in the late seventies, appearing in magazines and commercials.

Her film career debut was a fleeting glimpse as the "pretty girl on train" in Woody Allen's Stardust Memories[1980].

She began dating Sliver [1993] producer , Bill MacDonald, but split after announcing their engagement. Also had a fling with chauffeur Bob Wagner, while making the Quick and the Dead[1995].

Initially married to producer Michael Greenburg [1984-7] and then on Valentine's Day 1998 to newspaper editor Phil Bronstein. They live in San Fransisco.

Awards won by Sharon include Golden Globe and Oscar nomination forCasino[1995]; Chevalier of Arts and Letters[awarded by French government in 1995]; Golden Globe nomination for The Mighty[1998].

She filed, and won, a $12 million law suit against jeweller Harry Winston after he claimed he'd only loaned her a $400,000 necklace. He settled out of court and paid a large donation to an Aid's cgharity.

Yes, It's true, Sharon wasn't pleased earlier this year [1999] when Gwyneth Paltrow parodied her acting on American TV's Saturday Night Live
