The Remote Control Changer system comes with a transmitter, a receiver and two AC/DC-adapters:
The Transmitter receives the Infrared signal from the remote and
converts it into a radio (RF) signal. The transmitter is located
in the same area where you are (I.e. in the bedroom/kitchen etc.).
The transmitter then sends the radio signal throughout the house
to the receiver. The radio signal transcends walls, doors and
floors.
The Receiver turns the radio signal back into infrared signal and sends this to the device you want to operate. The receiver is located in the room where the actual device is that you want to control (I.e. The video recorder/Satellite etc. in the living room).
If you have a Satellite or a VCR in the living room and you have a cable connection to the TV in your bedroom, this is the perfect product to prevent you from running up and down the stairs to change channels or rewind the videotape.
