Summer 2001 already! Our milkweed is growing like crazy. It has doubled again and has even moved
out into
the yard. Every week I mow over some persistent plants and pluck the others before they get
too tall. I've left
a total of about a dozen plants.
The kids and I were surprised to spot our first Monarch on June 10th. That seemed so early. On the 22nd
I found
two caterpillars and one egg and brought them all inside.
