THE BRIDES´S GIFTS

In the hallway, the wedding gifts, a scaring presence to the bride's mother. She feels as they were spying on her. Each packet having a thousand eyes, sometimes sweet, sometimes mean. Gosh! mumbling and blessing herself. The daughter? On honeymoon, on an island that has a complicated name. Not knowing a word in a foreign language, the mother can´t even pronounce the name of this place, a spot which is kept in the limbo of the unsaid.

After the tornado that was the relatives staying over during the wedding and the party - the house before breathless, now is in a sad rest. The other day, looking at the wrappings all together ,they seemed as they were tall buildings in the downtown. Listening to the cars blowing the horn, she is the witness of somebody being run over . In panic she locks herself in her bedroom. When her man came home, he found neither his wife nor his dinner.
