Núbia Brasileiro was Born and lives in the city of Fortaleza, in the state os Ceará-Brazil. She is graduated in Musicology (UECE) Pedagogy (UECE) Law (UNIFOR). Secondary and College teacher, she is now retired. Musicologist TV, radio and concerts presenter. Writer and Poetess. Since she was a child, she was fond of books and enjoyed writing. Her letters were copied by the classmates and the classroom compositions were always printed in the school´s newspaper.
She always wanted to be an artist: actress, announcer, dance, but never thought of being a writer. In the beginning of the 80´s she is invited to write a daily section for a newspaper of the city. The interwiews she made there, led her to her first book. After this experience she spend a decade working as feature writer, which led to four books of this kind.
Poetry entered much later in her life, that´s why she likes to define herself as a "menopausatic poetess". Besides the published nine books and having participated in many anthologies, are being finished: "On the botton of the well there is a spring" and "Duda, his pains, his loves" (provisional title).
