He mar MARY (mnuk) who d 24 Jan 1694. They had son, HENRY (b 3 Aug 1657 - 10 Jun 1702), wife uk; his dau: ELIZABETH (b 2 Oct 1689), mar ROGER CHARNOCK on 19 Oct 1718.

My gg grandparents were DANIEL J. BEASLEY and CAROLYN NORTON. They lived somewhere in MS. Their son, WILLIAM PICKNEY BEASLEY mar MARY ELIZABETH EVANS. William P. moved MS. to Chase, LA. and had 5 ch, including DANIEL ROBERT ("Bud"; "Major") and 4 others. He mar IDA MAE ERVIN and moved from Chase, LA., to Jackson, MS. Ch: DANIEL WEST Sr., JEWEL ("Judy"), FRANCES, DORIS and MARY NELL. My father passed his name to me. Daniel West Beasley, Sr. mar ETHEL MARGUERITE HAMBAUGH. Ch: DANIEL WEST Jr. and ETHEL MARGUERITE BEASLEY. I have a dau, CARMON ELIZABETH and sons, DANIEL LLOYD and RANDELL LAWRENCE BEASLEY. William Pickney was bur somewhere around Chase, LA. Daniel Robert and Daniel West Beasley, Sr. are both bur in Jackson, MS. I currently reside in Jacksonville, FL. Randell Lawrence lives in Arcadia, LA. Searching for info on HENRY BEESLEY, of Wirksworth, Derbyshire, England (abt 1850 -- 1921). Worked as bank manager in Wirksworth. Sons: ARNOLD, CYRIL, EARNEST, LAWRENCE, FRANK, LEWIS and ARTHUR CAMPBELL (youngest) and sister EDIE. Arnold, Cyril and Lewis never mar; Ernest and Frank mar but were childless. Lawrence became a teacher at Dulwich College, was a survivor of the sinking of the ship Titanic, mar with three ch. His son ALEC mar DODIE SMITH, author of "101 Dalmatians". Arthur Campbell Beesley b. 1889, architect with War Graves Commission, mar CHRISTINE PERRIN of Le Havre, France, lived Orpington, Kent, England; their only son, PIERRE MICHEL ("Mike"), b 1927. Mike mar BIRGIT TRAUTE POPPER and emigrated to Ancaster, Ont., Canada. Their ch: dau MICHELE [MacHattie] and sons PHILIP, ANDREW, PAUL and MICHAEL.

Searching for information on ISAAC H. BEASLEY/Beesley (abt 1840/42 in Ky. d. Mo.), married ELZADA ??? (1843 Tn.--Maries Co. Mo.). Their ch: JOHN H., WILLIAM S., ALBERT HUSTON (1868 mar LULA LITTLES, 1898 Mo.), PERNECY J., FRANCES L., JOSEPH R. and SILAS A., all born Mo. Would like to find his parents and any siblings. For several years I've been unsuccessfully searching for gg grandmother, SOPHRONIA ("Fronie") BEASLEY, b abt 1825-1830 in GA., mar JAMES MAJORS abt 1845, probably in Crenshaw or Covington Co., AL. James served in the Confederate States Army during the War for Southern Independence and was wounded. He died in 1865 of his wounds or disease soon after returning to Alabama. Sophronia was left a widow with 10 ch: JOSEPH (1846), BENJAMIN FRANKLIN (1847), JACOB ("Jake") (21 Jan 1849), JOHN WESLEY (1851), THOMAS L. (1853), GEORGE FEGGINS (2 May 1854), MARY JANE (ca 1856), MARTHA ANN (ca 1859), RACHEL ELIZABETH (1860) and CAROLINE SOPHRONIA (23 Jan 1862). When her son, George F. (my great grandfather) and his wife left home for TX., she went with them and died in 1913 in Franklin Co., TX. She is bur in Liberty Cemetery. I have found nothing about Sophronia's parents or siblings. Her name was spelled various ways...and may even have been spelled Fronie. [Editor's note: "Fronie" is one of several nicknames for Sophronia] Thanks,

I am trying to trace both ancestors and descendants of JAMES BEEZLEY, b 18 Nov 1932, possibly still living. I know he had two sons, VICTOR WAYNE ("Tex") (ca 1958) and a red-headed one named EDDIE JAMES (ca 1960). Last known address of Victor "Tex" Beezley was in CA. I Think perhaps James went to Or. Victor lived for a time in Finney Co., KS. I believe he was mar but unknown to who, may now be divorced. Would very much like to learn more of this family and their ancestors. It is possible that the family originated from OK. I am trying to establish a genealogical connection to this family. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I am searching for FRANK BEASLEY's ancestors from VA. My ggrandfather was FRANK BEASLEY (Jan. 1843), a carpenter. He mar MILDRED ? (b June 1845); they lived at 524 Pearl St., Petersburg, Va. when the 1900 census was taken. Ch: TRULY (May 1882) (trunkmaker), WALTER (Apr 1884) (trunkmaker) (my grandfather), EVA (Feb 1886) (in school). My gg grandmother was MARY ? (Feb 1819) who was a widow living with Frank in 1900. I have more info about this family and I will eagerly share what I have learned.

CHARLES HENDERSON BEASLEY

Seeking lineage of CHARLES HENDERSON BEASLEY, MD (27 Oct 1895-11 Feb 1976). He was Director of Jefferson Barracks Veterans Administration Hospital in St. Louis, MO until his death. The Elementary School on grounds of Jefferson Barracks, donated by VA, is named Beasley School for him. Charles attended medical school at Washington Univ. in St. Louis. His mother was LENA BEASLEY and they lived on North 44th street in East St. Louis. His brother was BUFORD who mar PEARL. Charles established field hospitals in the invasion of Germany during WW II. He received the Croix de Guerre from France and the Order of Leopold. After the war, he returned to St. Louis and moved to administration of VA hospitals. He mar 1st unknown; 2nd EUNICE and 3rd LOIS M. SCRIPTER. Charles and Lois are bur at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery in St. Louis. Please send any info to

Seeking ancestry of my grandfather, JAMES EDWARD BEASLEY (15 Jan 1865 in Canton, Fulton, IL. He mar 30 Nov 1886 in Fulton Co., SARAH ANN ARABELLE ALLUMBAUGH (24 Jan 1866 in Canton). They had 8 ch: GEORGIA VALORIA (1887), RUTH MAE (1888), CARRIE MYRTLE (June 1890), HARRIET LOUISE (abt 1892), LEO PAUL (6 Feb 1894), SHELLIE EDWARD (30 Nov 1897), DESSA DOLORE (Mar 1903), and CORA CAROLINE (26 Feb 1906). Can anyone assist in locating any of the above, and/or their families? I'm sure that there are descendants all over the place. But I have never known any members of the family. Uncle Leo had two ch about my age and if memory serves, they were named BETTY and BOB. Aunt Cora compiled most of the info I have about the family.

I am looking for the parents of LIBERTY BEASLEY (1802 - abt 1870's), mar MARY M. BACHMAN (b Tn.). Had 11 ch: MARTHA A., JOHN D., DORINDA A., DANIEL B., ARCHER, WILLIAM S., DAVID H., MORGAN C., MARGARET ANN, FRANK P. and MARY ANN. Listed on Marshall Co., TN census as a farmer in 1840, 1850, 1860 and 1870. Lived in town of Spring Place, TN and in 1960 the town's name was known as Archer. I am seeking info on THOMAS WESLEY BEASLEY (b Brandy Station, Fauquier, Va. - d Oct 1897 Va.). According to his grandson, JOHNSON BEASLEY, Thomas served as a soldier in Col. Mosby's regiment of the Confederate Army during the War for Southern Independence. Johnson also wrote that "Grandfather Beasley was a carpenter and a farmer." BEASLEY, Robert. Memorandum of all the Estate that came into hands of John Head delivered by SANFORD BEASLEY, late Administrator, given 26 Nov 1825, rec 28 Nov 1825.-- Book, A Digest of Orange Co. Will Books 1783-1838. Death: according to Thomas' wife's obituary, "Her husband died in Virginia in October 1897." Thomas mar 1851, Lexington, IL. ANN ELIZABETH CLAGGETT (17 Mar 1835, New Baltimore, Fauquire, Va.--24 jan 1898 in Lexington, McLean, IL.; bur there) dau of SAMUEL CLAGGETT III and JULIA SANFORD. LINDA BALL GIBSON puts death as 1901 per her grandmother's bible. Death: according to her she died "Jan. 24th at the home of her daughter Mrs. POLLARD STROTHERS near Lexington and was laid to rest in the Lexington cemetary. Her husband died in Virginia in October 1897... Deceased was a daughter of Samuel Claggett of Virginia and was born in New Baltimore, Fauquier Co., Va. in the year 1835, aged 62 years and about 10 months." "The records indicate that the Claggetts are of Norman stock who came with William the Conquerer into England. They settled in Houghton, England and later moved into Kent."--Johnson T. Beasley. I am researching my branch of Beasley's. My father was PAUL DEAN BEASLEY; my grandfather was PAUL HERBERT BEASLEY. Paul H. was born in Dover, Stewart Co., TN., son of JOHN BEASLEY and LEONA GRAY. John and Leona's other ch included: LEWIS, GLENN, MARGARET, KATE, BRUXEY -- all these moved to Granite City, IL. and BUTHILL. John has sisters OPHIE, ELSIE and a brother WYATT. I believe John owned a store in Dover, TN. I am trying to get back to where to my first Beasley ancestor who came to America. Any help is greatly appreciated.
