I am looking for info on my grandfather FREDDIE BROOKS (b 25 Jun 1919, Yuma, Az.) and his parents, WILLIAM FRED BROOKS and ELIZABETH SPURLING. William Fred died in 1930 and Freddie was then raised by his grandmother, Mrs. DORA COLLINS BROOKS. Dora owned the Brooks Variety Store in Somerton, Az. from 1926 to 1948. After she died, my grandfather took over the store. There is a family plot in the Yuma Cemetery. Freddie's ch included: JIMMIE BROOKS, JOHN WILLIAM BROOKS, CHARLIE BROOKS, and FRED BROOKS. Freddie may have had a second wife, FERN GABLE. Can anyone help me?

Looking for info on JOSEPH BROOKS who was living in St. Tammany Parish, La. when he signed a marriage license as surety (marriage bond) for the marriage of JOSEPH WHEAT and ELIZABETH ("Betsy") BAGLEY. Joseph and Betsy are my ggg grandparents and I know nothing of her parents. The Wheats go back to Georgia and Maryland. Could Joseph have been Betsy's grandfather?
