BROWN
Soldiers in the
American Revolution
This part of our Brown Family History section is devoted to all those Brown men and boys who fought for the independence of our nation as soldiers in the State Militias and the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War for Independence, 1775-1783.
If you have records or information on a Brown ancestor who served in the military during the war, please make copies of these records and send to us to preserve in the Family Library.
This site is sponsored by the Brown Family Club, a national family club dedicated to gathering and preserving family history of all Brown families.

We now have a looseleaf book available about the Brown family in the Revolutionary War. It has much more information than we can display on the website. It has information on every known Brown who served in the state militias, the Continental service or naval service; when and where born, who and when married; children (and their birthdates, etc.), occupation, pension records on veterans, widows and suvivors, when and where died and where buried, etc. See the main Brown Family Club HISTORY page for more on the book and how to order.
