Searching for info on BENJAMIN FRANKLIN MORGAN Sr., b 1831, 1838 or 1845 in Tn. His tombstone says 1831, cemetery records say 1838 and the 1870 & 1880 Karnes Co. TX. census indicates his birth as 1845. On 5 Jun 1866, he mar LYDIA C. GARY in Karnes Co. Their ch were: ISAAC MILTON (2 Oct 1867 Tn.), SARAH (1869 Tn.), JAMES A. (1871 Tx.), GEORGE FRANKLIN (10 Mar 1872, Runge, Karnes Co. - 26 Apr 1942, Victoria, TX.), ADA (1876 Karnes Co.), WILLIAM HENRY (1878), CRASSEO L. (May 1880) and BENJAMIN FRANKLIN Jr. (9 Aug 1886 - Mar 1969). George F. was my grandfather; he mar SALLY DELILA KELLY 10 Mar 1872. Benjamin F. Jr. mar CHARLOTTE TOLBERT. Ada mar OLIVER B. I am looking for information on my grandfather's ancestry: he was EARL LAFAYETTE MORGAN b in Effingham Co., GA in latter part of the 1800s. He mar ANNIE PEARL EDWARDS of Springfield, GA. According to photocopies of the Morgan Genealogy I was given (source unknown), Earl's father was BENJAMIN L., son of CHRISTOPHER LEWIS, son of WILLIAM, son of LEWIS, son of JOHN MORGAN. I'm seeking info on my 6th great grandmother SARAH MORGAN, supposedly born in PA. abt 1732, dau of JOHN MORGAN and SARAH LLOYD. John had sister named SARAH MORGAN and is the mother of Daniel BOONE. According to my information, Sarah mar COLBERT BLAIR (1730 Bucks Co. PA - 1805 Caldwell Co. NC) in PA prior to 1750. They settled in North Carolina. I seek info on Sarah Morgan's date or place of birth/death. Colbert BLAIR and Sarah MORGAN had dau: TABITHA ISABEL BLAIR (13 Dec 1761 Burke Co., NC - 15 May 1855 Henderson Co., TN); mar JOHN GRIDER of NC and is buried with him in the Grider Cemetary, Henderson, Co. TN. I have not been able to find Tabitha Isabel BLAIR on any list of Colbert BLAIR and Sarah MORGAN'S children. On a web site which listed burial info on Blair family, I found her listed by her middle name: "Isabel (BLAIR) GRIDER probably the daughter of Colbert BLAIR"; no mention made of Sarah Morgan. I'm concerned, not knowing Sarah MORGAN's date of death, with the possibility Colbert BLAIR remarried and that Tabitha is not really Sarah's daughter at all.

DANIEL MORGAN who served in the Revolutionary War. I don't know if this is true or not. They lived for awhile in Shenadoah area then moved to Carter Co., TN. Looking for information on ROMULUS (R.M.) MORGAN born Forsyth Co., NC abt 1840. Mar abt 1866 to MARY OSBORN (Osborne). They were parents of abt 10 ch incl: SARA LOUISE MORGAN b 11 Nov 1876-79? either in IN. or OH. She died giving birth to my father, 29 Dec 1918 in Des Moines, Polk, IA. She mar FERDINAND RUSSELL 13 June 1917 (her third mar). At that time Romulus and Mary (in their 70's) were also living in Des Moines: the City Directory lists her with her parents and a brother. She was a widow in 1915. Also listed were 10 ch by Romulus and Mary. Any info would be most helpful.

(b abt 1820 NC ?), mar EDA (Edith) abt 1838; JAMES (abt 1824 NC ?) mar MARY; MALINDA (abt 1826 NC ?) mar "Dark" CHAPMAN; LOUIS (abt 1827 NC ?) mar SARAH; and NANCY (abt 1830). Info above is from 1840/1850 census for Polk Co., TN. Malinda and her family moved to Fentress Co., Tn. by 1860 with her mother Sarah. James and his family are also in Fentress Co. Gabriel does not appear in 1860 census. Eda, wife of Albert G. is in Morgan Co. 1860 census living with son John Morgan. Family tradition says Sarah, wife of Gabriel, was Cherokee. Photos of descendants of this line show many features of Native Americans.

Searching for ancestors of CHARLES MORGAN, b 1743 in Fauquier Co., VA., d 23 Oct 1808. He mar FRANCES LEE (1754 - 16 Oc6t 1831). Their ch: ELIZABETH (mar WILLIAM FOULKE), JOHN (mar ELIZABETH REARTON), WILLIAM (mar MARY JANE EWING) (my ancestors), DANIEL, MARY (mar HENRY EATON of Wellsville, OH.), JAMES, and SARAH (mar JAMES WELLS of Wellsville, OH.) Charles enlisted in 1776 as a private in Capt. Brigg's Company of Virginia Militia during the Revolutionary War for Independence and served until 1781. Charles later settled in Clinton, PA., where he reportedly gave 8 acres for the church there. I have a copy of a letter he received from George Washington concerning some property. I would like to find info on his ancestors, when they arrived in Virginia.
