MYRON MORGAN

Seeking any information on MYRON MORGAN who married HANNAH MARTHA PEMBROOK in 1884 in Onawa, Ia.; their ch: CAPIDORAH CLARA MORGAN (1 Dec 1887 Stanton, Nebraska -- 10 Apr 1951 Walthill, Ne.); MALLORY PEMBROOK MORGAN (5 Sep 1889 Stanton -- 26 Feb 1976 Longmont, Co.). Myron disappeared about two years after Mallory was born. We do not know birth or death dates of Myron or who his parents were. We suspect his parents were MALLORY MORGAN and SARAH ANN BARBER. We think Mallory, Sr. was born in Pennsylvania about 1829, and Sarah Ann was born May 1837 in NY. Any info at all about this line of Morgans would be appreciated. Mallory P. is my husband's grandfather.

JAMES O. MORGAN
1792 SC -- 1877 AL.

I am looking for information concerning the parents and earlier history of my gggg grandfather, JAMES O. (middle initial possibly O. for OLIVER?) MORGAN (7 Feb 1792 Edgefield Co., SC?). His brothers were ELDRIDGE MORGAN, MOSES MORGAN, MINTER MORGAN (possibly WILLIAM MINTER) and CHRISTOPHER MORGAN. James mar MARY DATHNEY 6 Apr 1816 in Richmond Co. Ga. James may have been a Methodist minister. He lived in Greene, Muscogee and Henry Counties, Ga., 1818 -- 1836. His ch: GREENBERRY MORGAN (1818-1906), WILLIAM MORGAN (1819-1908), JAMES JACKSON MORGAN (1822-1898), CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS MORGAN (1828), LUCINDA MORGAN (1829-1855), ELIJAH MORGAN (1829-1911), THOMAS MORGAN (1833), and JULIE ANN MORGAN (1836-1912). No conclusive proof as to how long James remained in Georgia before moving to Alabama. His sons Greenberry, James Jackson and Elijah also moved to Alabama and are buried in Crenshaw and Coffee Counties. The other children remained in Georgia and died in either Henry, Marion or Chattahoochee Counties. James and wife Mary probably appear on the 1870 Butler Co., AL. Census with ages listed as 76 and 75. Their (widowed?) dau Julie Morgan Lanier and two of her children, JAMES and MALISSA LANIER were living with James. James Morgan died in Brantley, Crenshaw Co., AL. in 1877 and is buried at Oak Grove Church Cemetery there. Any help on finding parents and birthplace of James (O.) Morgan would be greatly appreciated.
