Odom's in the

Confederate States Army

This part of our History section is devoted to all the Southern Odom / Odam / Odum men and boys who defended their Nation as soldiers and sailors in the Confederate States Army and Navy during the War for Southern Independence (War Between the States), 1861-1865. It includes those who served in the national Confederate forces as well as those in the State Militias.

We will include all the Odom relatives that we know of who served in the Southern forces. If you have copies of records and information on any Odom ancestors, please send us copies of these to preserve in the Family Library.

Most of the Southern forces were organized into regiments or battalions. All the units below are infantry unless otherwise designated, such as Cav. for cavalry or Arty. for artillery.
