COLUMBUS, Ga.--Opal Ruth Odom died at her home here 18 June, aged 82.
Opal was born in Dothan, Ala., 23 Mar., 1915, daughter of John Odom and Viola Singleton. She had lived in Columbus for many years and was a retired spinner for Bibb Mills. Opal was a member of North Highland Assembly of God Church.
Burial was in Madrid Cemetery in the Madrid community south of Dothan.

Survivors include nieces Martha Ann Tracy, Columbus and Elizabeth Fullford, Phenix City, Al.; nephew, Willie Wilson, Columbus.

RAEFORD, NC--Belvin Lee Odom died 25 June at age 85.
Belvin was a Mason.
Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery in St. Pauls, NC.

Mrs. THELMA OWENS ODOM
Widow of Morgan Odom Dies In Donalsonville, Ga.

DONALSONVILLE, Ga.--Mrs. Thelma Owens Odom died at Donalsonville Hospital here 23 Nov. at age 81.
Thelma was born in Seminole County, the daughter of Jesse Lee Owens and Hattie Lela Davis. She married Morgan Odom who died in 1969. They had two sons. She had lived here all her life. Thelma was a member of Hebrew Freewill Baptist Church in Seminole County. Their son Albert Jesse ("A. J.") Odom died in 1984.

Morgan was a son of Albert Odom and Augzetta Braswell; he was a grandson of Redden Persian Odom and Ann Burke; a great grandson of John Redden Odom and Sarah Faircloth; great great grandson of Redden Odom and Dicy Brown (both natives of Sampson Co., NC).
Burial was in the Hebrew Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Survivors include a son, Jerry Leroy Odom, Mobile, Al.; sisters Reba Parker, Donalsonville and Jeanette Moulton, St. Petersburg, Fl.; 3 grandchildren; 2 great garndchildren.

HUGH H. ODOM Sr.
Dies in Biloxi, Miss.

BILOXI, Miss.-- Hugh H.Odom Sr. died here 31 Dec., 1997, aged 87.

Hugh was born in Logtown, Ms. He was a retired heavy equipment operator. He was a Baptist.

Burial was in Napoleon Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by a son, Hugh H. Odom Jr. and a daughter, Jennifer Odom.

Survivors include daughters Odell Rosesky, New Orleans, Thelma J. Reagin, Atlanta, Mary Frances Dederly, Hammond, La., Irma Lyons, Houma, La., Ann Rester and Carolyn Lee, both of Picayune and True Carvin, Long Beach; a son, Charles E. Odom, Oklahoma City; 25 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.

Luey was born in Madison, Fl. and moved to this area 70 years ago. She was the wife of James V. Odom. Opal was a homemaker and a member of Dover Eastside Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband James; dau-ghters, Robbie Newman and Patricia Heard, both of Dover, Fl. andMarie Phillips and Gloria Dykstra, both of Plant City; sons Rodney Lariscy, Turkey Creek, Fl. and Richard Lariscy, Litha, Fl.; step-daughter, Carlene Antonine, Lakeland; stepsons, Harold Odom, Ray Odom and Everett Odom, all of Lakeland; sisters, Amy Rogers and Lora Duckworth, both of Dover; brother, M. G. Knight, Dover; 16 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren.
