JEANETTE J. RICHARDSON
Wife of J. M. Richardson;
Muscogee Schools Employee

COLUMBUS, Ga.-- Mrs. Jeanette Jones Richardson died here 29 Nov., 1997, aged 71.

Jeanette was born 26 Feb., 1926 in Waverly Hall, Ga., daughter of Homer C. Jones and Mattie Lucas. She married Jere M. Richardson in 1956.

Jeanette graduated from Jordan High School and Columbus College (now Columbus State University). She began working for the Columbus Public School System while still a high school student and subsequently for the Muscogee County School District for a total of 39 years until her retirement in 1982. She later worked for several years as financial secretary of Wynnton Methodist Church, where she was a member since 1941. She was also a member of the Chancel Choir for over 50 years and the last original member of the Goodwill Sunday School Class.

Jeanette was an active member of Sears Woods Garden Club and served as president, treasurer and publisher of the club's newsletter and the annual neighborhood directory.

Burial was in Parkhill Cemetery here.

Survivors include her husband; sons Jere C. ("Jay") Richardson, James M. Richardson and John W. Richardson; daughter-in-law, Catherine B. Richardson; sister, Jacqueline Watkins; grandchildren, Lucas, Rachel and Nathan Richardson.

 RUBY RICHARDSON HERRING
Horry County, SC Native

CONWAY, SC-- Ruby Richardson Herring died at a local nursing home here 19 Dec., 1997, aged 73.

Ruby was born in Horry County, SC, daughter of Wesley H. Richardson and Lucy Hearl. She was the widow of Leo Herring. Ruby was a retired employee of Conway Hospital. She was a Baptist.

Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Survivors include a daughter, Louise Jordan, Conway; sons, Leon Lerring, Moncks Corner, Harold Herring, Effing- ham, and Danny, Raymond, Ronald and Ray Herring, all of Conway; sisters, Rosie Richardson Parrish, High Point, NC and Corrine Richardson, Idell Richardson Pierce and Nellie Richardson, all of Thomasville, NC; 15 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.

CLINE RICHARDSON
Dies in Arkansas, Aged 80

 ALCO, Ark.-- Cline Richardson died 19 Dec., 1997, aged 80.

Burial was in Alco Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Imadene King Richardson; daughters, Rachel Gullett, Louise Gibbs, Reda Womack and Katheryn Jones; son, Robert Cline Richardson; sisters, Veryl Holton and Elva Milligan; brothers Creston Richardson and Albert Mills Richardson; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.

ROSE RICHARDSON BOWMAN
Univ. of Arkansas Grad

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.-- Rose Richardson Bowman of Little Rock died 14 Jan. in Fayetteville, aged 76.

Rose was a graduate of Little Rock High School, class of 1939. She also was a graduate of the University of Arkansas, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority. She was married to William R. McNair Sr. and later Herschel A. Bowman.

Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery here.

Surviving are her husband; daughter Mary McNair Kumpuris, Little Rock; sons William R. McNair Jr. and Mark Richardson McNair, both of Little Rock; 6 grandchildren.

 

THOMAS W. RICHARDSON Jr.
WW II Vet and
Retired Oil Engineer Dies in Texas

HOUSTON, Tex.--Thomas Walker Gilmer Richardson Jr. died in Houston 13 Nov., 1997, at age 76 of an aneurysm.

Thomas was a veteran of the World War II who served as a lieutenant in the US Navy. He was a former resident of Memphis, Tn.

He was a retired oil engineer.

Burial was at Elmwood Cemetery in Memphis.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Roy Richardson; daughter, Ann Richardson Abbott, Memphis; son, Thomas W. Gilmer Richardson III, Denver, Co.; sisters, Lillian Richardson Hall, Cleveland, Ms. and Madelyn Richardson Brock, Memphis.

ALLEGRA JANE RICHARDSON
Widow of John E. Richardson Jr.

CASSELBERRY, Fla.-- Allegra Jane Richardson of Casselberry died 13 Nov. at age 89.

She was born in Kalispell, Mont. and was married to the late John E. Richardson Jr. Allegra moved to central Florida in 1994.

She was a member of Wagg Memorial Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Richardson Menn, Casselberry; son, John E. Richardson III, La Madera, NM; sisters,

Sarah G. Carroll, West Palm Beach, Fl. and Lula G. parson, Poca, W. Va.; 6 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.

JANE MITCHELL RICHARDSON
Dies In Columbus at Age 74

COLUMBUS, Ga.-- Mrs. Jane L. Mitchell Richardson died at her home here 12 Nov., 1997, aged 74.

Jane was born 14 Feb., 1923 in Potash Ridge, Al., daughter of Fed Mitchell and Doshia Ann Hester. She was a homemaker and attended Riverview Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her children, Martha A., Geraldine, Mary C., Terry J., Carolyn R. and Danny Richardson.

Burial was at the Potash Church of God Cemetery near Wedowee, Al.

Survivors include daughters, Annette Brown, Columbus, Betty J. Brown, Albany, Ga. and Vickie L. Richardson, Miami; son, Phillip L. Richardson, Clio, Al.; sister, Bernice Mitchell, LaGrange, Ga.; grandchildren, Pamela M. Patrick, William G. Patrick, Rodney S. Brown, Roger L. Brown, Tracy L. Brown and Danielle M. Brown; one great grandson, Austin C. Brown.

GEORGE E. RICHARDSON Jr.
Pensacola Native Dies in Indiana

CARMEL, Ind.-- George E. Richardson Jr. died 3 Dec., 1997, in a hospital here, age 61.

George was born in Pensacola, Fla., the son of George E. Richardson Sr. and Ruth Connor. He was a graduate of the University of South Carolina. He was a member of the National Guard. George was also a member of Weak Signals and Orchard Park Presbyterian Church.

He was an engineer with Allison's in Indianapolis.

Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Columbia, SC.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Lindsay Richardson; sons, George E. Richardson III, Holly Springs, NC and David L. Richardson, Toledo, Oh.; sister, Anita Richardson, Charleston, SC; and 5 grandchildren.
