ALICE SANDERS NEDORVICH
Daughter of Arthur Sanders

COLUMBUS, Ga.--Alice Gertrude Sanders Nedorvich died at St. Francis Hospital here 16 May, aged 69.

Alice was born 25 Sep., 1925 in Russell County, Al., daughter of Arthur and Minnie Lee Sanders. She was a homemaker and member of Bush Road Emmanuel Holinesss Church.

Burial was in Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus, Ga.

Survivors include her husband Paul Thomas Nedorvich; son, William P. ("Billy") Nedorvich, Columbus; sister, Mary Floyd, Columbus; brother, David Sanders, Bleeker, Al.

LUCIEN SAUNDERS
West Virginia Native

THONOTOSASSA, Fla.-- Lucien Saunders died 7 Sept., at University Community Hospital, aged 86.

Lucien was born in Lavalette, W. Va. He moved here in 1957 from Dayton, Ohio. He was a construction estimator and coordinator for the University of South Florida. He was a member of East Thonotosassa Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Dora Saunders; daughter, Janet M. Smith, Melbourne; sons John M. Saunders, Sarasota, Jack D. Saunders, Tampa and Larry L. Saunders, Ruskin; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.

LOIS BRANNON SANDERS
Widow of Cecil H. Sanders

AUSTIN, Ark.-- Mrs. Lois Brannon Sanders died 13 Sept. at age 75.

Lois was the widow of Cecil H. Sanders. She was the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Fred Brannon.

Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Survivors include sons L. C. Sanders, Larry Sanders, Don Sanders, all of Austin, Randall Sanders, Lonoke and Houston Sanders, North Little Rock, Ark.; sisters, Elsie Wagner, Little Rock, Bennie Mae White, Redfield and Emma Bearden, Cabot; 15 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.

WELLFORD L. SANDERS Sr.
World War II Navy Veteran

IRVINGTON, Va.-- Wellford Lorraine Sanders Sr. died 11 Sept., aged 80.

Wellford was a veteran of the US Navy during World War II. He attended Hampden-Sydney College. Wellford was a retired vice president of Taylor and Sledd food brokers in Richmond. He was a former resident of Richmond.

Burial was in Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond.

Survivors are his wife of 57 years, Frances Walker Sanders; daughter Frances Sanders Davis, Richmond; sons Wellford L. Sanders Jr., Richmond and Charles L. Sanders, Irvington; brother, Owsley Sanders, Richmond; 7 grandchildren.

DORIS SANDERS LYDA
WRBL-TV Secretary

COLUMBUS, Ga.-- Doris Sanders Lyda died 10 Sept. at age 80.

Doris was born in Columbus10 May, 1917, daughter of James Oscar Sanders and Annie Belle Smith. She had lived in Columbus all her life. She was married to Charles Edward Lyda, who survives her. Doris worked with WRBL TV, a major television station here, for 23 years until her retirement. She was secretary for Ridley Bell. Doris was a member of St. Luke Methodist Church, the Shaw Fellowship Sunday School Class and the Professional Secretaries Association.

Entombment was at Parkhill Cemetery here.

Survivors include her husband; daughter Elizabeth Woods, granddaughter Wendy Wages and grandson Harold Woods Jr.

VIRGINIA SANDERS
Wife of John T. Sanders Sr. Dies in Tampa

TAMPA, Fla.-- Virginia Sanders died at Hospice of Hillsborough nursing home here 30 Nov., aged 72.

Virginia was born in Camden, Tn. She was married to John T. Sanders Sr., a retired US Army officer.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Retired Officers Wives Club and a counselor at Reach for Recovery. She was a member of Manhattan Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of Tampa; daughter Barbara Sanders, Upper Marlboro, Md.; sisters, Ruth Durden, Farmington, Ma., Ruby Corbett, Granite City, Il., Christine Weeden, Pontotoc, Ms. and Nell Guckenheimer, Apple Valley, Ca.; 2 grandchildren.

NELLIE RAYNES SANDERS
Widow of Thomas Felix Sanders

COLUMBIA, Miss.-- Mrs. Nellie Belle Raynes Sanders died at her home here 30 Nov., 1996 at age 63 from cancer.

Nellie Belle was the widow of Thomas Felix Sanders. She was born 10 July, 1933 in Marion County, Ms., daughter of

Michael ("Mike") and Minnie Raynes. She was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church.

Burial was at New Brushy Creek Cemetery.

Survivors include daughter, Patsy Sanders Broome, Hamilton, Ms.; sons Gary and Billy Sanders, both of Columbia; sister, Mrs. Marganie Sanders, Columbia; brothers Joe, Anguish, William Buford, Woodrow and Willis Raynes, all of Columbia and Lonnie Raynes, Kenner, La.; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren.

PORTER S. SANDERS
World War II Army Veteran; Tire Company Owner

ATLANTA, Ga.-- Porter S. Sanders died here 4 Sept. at age 75.

Porter was born in Haralson County, Ga. He was a veteran of the US Army and served during World War II. He was the retired owner of Quality Tire Co. on Murphy Avenue here. He was a Mason and Shriner. He was a member of the Yaarab Shriners Temple.

Burial was in the Buchanan City Cemetery in Buchanan.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Omie Driver Sanders; sisters, Ruth Eaves, Buchanan, Margaret Kimball, Bremen; and brother, John Sanders, Wedowee, Al.

Mrs. JOE SANDERS
Licensed Practical Nurse

RICHLAND, Ga.-- Mrs. Elizabeth Harris ("Lady") Sanders died at a Columbus, Ga. hospital 16 Aug., at age 62. She was the wife of Joe Sanders of Richland. Lady was born 23 Sept., 1934 in Stewart County, Ga., daughter of Willie W. and Clarice H. Harris.

She was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Stewart Webster Hospital for many years and worked for the last 16 years as a nurse for Dr. Alluri Raju at Raju Clinic in Richland. She was a member of Enterprise Baptist Church. Burial was at Harmony Cemetery here.

Survivors include her husband; daughters Bebe Sanders Shannon, Preston and Joanna Sanders Dacus, Richland; sisters, Myrtice Lipsey, Mattie Davis and Faye James, all of Richland and Cheryl Vaughn, Jonesboro; brothers Walter, Bill and Edward Harris; 3 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.
