Am looking for parents and ancestors for my ggf, MEREDITH WADE HILL SANDERS, (b 14 Jul 1847 near Raleigh, NC -- d 5 Jul 1914 Summitville, Coffee Co., Tn.) mar on 16 May 1880 in Coffee Co. to JENNIE MAY LOWRY (15 oct 1861, White Co., Tn. -- 3 Jun 1931, Summitville). Their ch: WADE SUTTON (10 mar 1889 -- 22 feb 1942), ALICE PEARL (20 Aug 1883 -- 8 May 1948), JAMES CALHOUN (26 Sep 1894 -- 29 Dec 1955). His parents JAMES W. SANDERS and MARTHA E. CUNNINGHAM are buried at Shady Grove Cemetery. I already have the Lowry info; it is the SANDERS info that is missing or non-existant. Also, any biogs on these people would be appreciated.

Searching for info on WILLIAM PATRICK SAUNDERS b abt 1818 in NC; mar ELEANOR (Ellenner) SOUTHERLAND (or Sutherland?) 9 Mar 1843, Marshall Co., AL. I know of 5 ch: FREDERICK SAUNDERS (b abt 1843), GREENVILLE SANDERS (10 June 1845, Bellefont, Marshall Co. -- 23 May 1914, Hackett AR buried Old Union Cemetery, Sebastian AR), ARMINTA (abt 1846), ELLENDER SAUNDERS (Eleanor) (abt. 1848), WILLIAM P. SAUNDERS (abt 1849). I have no details on the children of William Patrick except for Greenville, (also known as "Green" and "GV") Sanders (Saunders) who is my great-grandfather. He mar 6 Aug 1865, Cedar Glades, Montgomery Co., AR to SARAH JANE SANDERS (b 30 Dec 1846, in Montgomery Co.). He served in the 4th Arkansas Calvary, Co. D. northern Army (during the War for Southern Independence). He enlisted 19 Nov 1863 at Benton AR. They had 10 ch. My great-grandparents ASA THOMAS SANDERS and JANE VAUGHN are buried in Oak Grove Cemetery near Cabot, AR. I would like to hear from any of their relations in Arkansas, or elsewhere. They came to Arkansas from Anderson Co., Tx. about 1911 and from Wilkinson Co., Ga. to Texas about 1880.

Looking for info on ZACHARY TAYLOR SANDERS; b 29 Jan 1850 -- do not know where. Buried in Dry Creek Cemetery in Lawrence Co. AR. He mar AMANDA THOMAS on Oct. 13, 1889 in Lawrence Co. AR. She was born August 26, 1869 and died March 10, 1937. Their ch are HESTER SANDERS (b. ca 1890-1891), LUCY SANDERS (ca 1893), LULA SANDERS (10 Mar 1896 in Lynn Ar.), HARRY SANDERS (9 Oct 1899), MAUDE SANDERS (9 Oct 1899), DELLIE SANDERS (28 APR 1901), and FLORA SANDERS (4 July 1904--still living; she mar HOMER CLINTON). If anyone who could help me out I would appreciate it. Need to know more about Zachary, where he came from and who his parents were.

My mother was a Sanders, born in Colleton Co., S.C. Her father JOHN BENJAMIN SANDERS was born in Hampton Co., SC. in 1892. His father was JOSEPH BENJAMIN SANDERS, son of JOHN D. SANDERS. And that is where I am stuck. I can't seem to find out any information on my line of Sanders. There are so many John, Joseph and Benjamin Sanders, I can't find the right connections. I have info on my mother's family: there were 8 children. I know some of my grandfather's info but not very much. I hope there will be good participation in the Sanders Family Association. Thanks

I am interested in locating an entire side of my family. My father's name was EARL MAXWELL SANDERS, born ca 1920, in Toccoa Georgial; died in either Los Angeles or Las Vegas, Nv. My grandfather's name was EARL MAXWELL SANDERS Sr. and his wife was FANNIE THRASHER. To my knowledge, they were also from Ga. In 1950, my mother, BETTY BESESKE, mar Earl M. in Inglewood Ca. They were mar around two years before my father left. I never knew him. I am supposed to have some siblings, one whose name may be JACQUELINE. My father worked for Southern Pacific Railroad and is supposed to have passed away sometime in the early 1950s. As you can see, I don't have a lot of information.

(1850), PINCKNEY ("Pink") SANDERS (1852 --killed between age 10-13 years), ANDREW MASTEN SANDERS (1854 ~ died 192? in Texarkana, Ar.; bur at Mt. Pisgah, near Fouke Ar., beside two of his children, WALLACE SANDERS and GOLDIE SANDERS. Son ARTHUR also buried there). (11) TRISSA "Trissy" SANDERS (1856) and (12) ISAAC SANDERS (1858). There should be child #13 that may have been born in AL. ~ or a twin that died from the above list of children. Do not know if Hardy's family ever returned to Tennessee. Catherine was a herbalist and mid-wife. Andrew and Eliza, my grand-parents. By 1860 Hardy and Catherine were located in Marshall Co., AL. Andrew Masten Sanders marr ELIZA ANN HENDREN (b 7 September 7, 1869 near Langston, AL. -- 12 Sep 1969 in Bartlesville, Ok.). Andrew and Eliza homesteaded near Fouke, Ar. late 1890-192? Their ch: ARTHUR SANDERS, WALLACE SANDERS, LENA SANDERS, GOLDIE SANDERS, LILLIE SANDERS, LORENA SANDERS and THORA INEZ SANDERS.

My gg grandfather was WILLIAM LEE SANDERS who married MARGARET HINSON (Henson?). I have nothing else on them except he was said to be full Cherokee Indian -- cannot verify this. They had a son named EDMUND H. SANDERS, my g grandfather (b 29 Dec 1882 -- 3 May 1960, bur Cedar Springs Cemetery, Athens Tn.). He mar SALLIE ELIZABETH TALLENT (b 1 Jan 1877--19 Feb 1919). I believe her correct birth year was 1887 judging from her death certificate but cemetery record gives 1877. Their ch: ELLEN SANDERS, BERTHA SANDERS, ANNABELL SANDERS (my grandmother) and I think, a couple of others. Edmund mar again and had at least one more daughter, MINNIE FAY SANDERS (bur in Sullivan Cemetery, McMinn Co., Tn). William, Edmund and Sallie were all said to be Cherokee; Edmund was a farmer I believe. Our branch was said to have originated in North Carolina and all the older generations were very secretive about the family, very hard to get information...except for one aunt. I'm the older generation now...can anyone help me find my family's roots?

I am searching for MATTHEW SANDERS, mar AMANDA OPHELIA OTIS 1885-1890 in Mississippi or Texas. He may have had the initial R. Amanda was my gr-aunt. I found R. Sanders, age 39, in the 1900 Pottowatomie Co. Ok. Census who had been married for 12 years. Amanda's brother was living with R. Sanders at that time. I thought perhaps that was her family. Looking for ancestors of ALBERT FRANKLIN SAUNDERS and his wife SALLY LEE (of Ky.), from one of the Carolinas. Their son was GEORGE WILLIAM SAUNDERS who mar ANNA MARIE TRAINER. I am George and Anna's dau, Toni Kay Saunders, b in Vinton Co., OH. I haven't learned the name of Albert's father yet but his mother was MIRA WILCOX of one of the Carolinas. My Great Aunt Mary said that her father or grandfather came here to the U.S. from Scotland. Our name was originally spelled Sanders. Albert Franklin's siblings that I know of are: ISAAC, MARY, CARRIE and there may have been more. Isaac lives in Florida. Mary lives in Ohio. Carrie has died. Albert lives with one of his 6 children. My Grandfather Albert is 85 and the youngest of his sibblings.
