When you hear of a death in the family, PLEASE send us the information, so we can print it in the family newsletter and preserve the info in the Family Library.Without your help, a lot of kinfolk are not remembered in the family newsletters. If you know about the death, send us the relative's full name, dates and place of birth and death; names of parents, spouse, children and their current residence (hometown). Also include such information as their occupation; clubs and civic activities; church membership; hobbies and interests; awards and honors; place of burial; survivors (spouse, children, brothers & sisters, grandchildren, etc.) You can email the information if you know about the death.

BONNIE WOODHAM TUCKER FORT WORTH, Tx.--Bonnie Woodham Tucker died at her home here 22 Dec., 1999, aged 48. Bonnie was born 18 Apr 1951 in Pontiac, Michigan. She was the adopted daughter of Richard C. Woodham and his wife Joyce Clark. She moved to California as a child with her parents. She graduated from Glendora High School in Glendora, Ca. She later moved to Houston, Tx. before coming to Fort Worth. She was a sales associate with the famous Neiman- Marcus Department Store in Forth Worth. Survivors include her father, Richard C., of Chandler, Az. and an uncle, Al Clark, Aledo, Tx. Benny was born 15 apr 1930 in Henry Co., Al., the son of Ira G. Woodham and Allie Mae Williamson. He had lived in the Jacksonville, Fla. area for many years. He was married to the late Dorothy Ashmead. Benny had been a member of the Woodham Family Association and attended the Woodham Family National Reunion in 1980. No burial information available. Benny was predeceased by his parents and two brothers, Alonza Martin ("Lonza") and Dewey Clyde Woodham. Benny was a grandson of Joseph Hillary Woodham and Mary Ida Owens; a great grandson of James Asa Woodham and Josephine Owens; gg grandson of Athanasius Jehu Woodham Sr. and Gemima Meadows; ggg grandson of Athanasius Woodham and Mary Ann Kelly; gggg grandson of Aris Woodham Sr. and Rachel Beasley; and ggggg grandson of Edward Woodham Jr. and Mary. Survivors include his son, Benny M. Woodham Jr. of Florida. Cecil was born 29 Jun 1928 in Holmes Co., Fla., son of Thomas Ewell Woodham and Iris Pauline Faircloth. Cecil had lived in Holmes County and Bonifay all his life. He married Elaine Bradley in 1951 and they had five daughters. Cecil was a grandson of Walter Young Woodham and Effie Jane Reneau; great grandson of John Robert Woodham and Emma Gray; gr gr grandson of Edward Harley Woodham Sr. and Sarah Dowling (natives of Lee County, SC and pioneers of Dale Co., Al.); gr gr gr grandson of Edward Woodham Jr. and his wife Mary. Burial and information is unavailable to us. Survivors include his wife Elaine; daughters Barbara Ann Woodham Barnett, Kathy Elaine Woodham Metcalf, Karen Irene Woodham Warren, Alice Faye Woodham Sanders and Jennifer Joy Woodham. |
Mrs. ALMA EZELLE DANIEL GREENSBORO, NC--Mrs. Alma Virginia Ezelle Daniel died here at a nursing home where she had lived for the last three years, aged 85. Alma was born 29 Jan 1914 in Cherry Valley, Ark., the daughter of Ada Hazel ("Addie") Woodham and her husband, Edd Howard Ezell. Addie also died last year, at the age of 102. Alma married Winston W. Daniel in 1936. He died a few years ago. Alma and her husband had lived in Arkadelphis, Ark., then for many years in Huntsville, Ala. before moving to Greensboro where she and Winston bought a condiminium in a retirement community. She was one of the huge crowd of kinfolk who attended the first Woodham Family National Reunion in 1979, when she became a Founding Member of the family club. She was influential in bringing a large delegation of Woodham kinfolks from Arkansas to the first reunion. Alma was a granddaughter of William Sherman ("Will") Woodham and Ada Mae Henderson, who left Marshall County, Ala. and moved to Cross County, Arkansas in the 1890's. She was a great granddaughter of Edward D. Woodham and Martha Benefield; gr gr granddaughter of Aris Woodham and Amanda Melvina Wilson; gr gr gr granddaughter of Edward Woodham and Clarissa; gr gr gr gr granddaughter of Aris Woodham Sr. and Rachel Beasley; and ggggg granddaughter of Edward Woodham Jr. and Mary. Alma was a member of Friendly Avenue Baptist church and the Rose Moore Sunday School Class. Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville, Ala. Survivors include a daughter, Sally Ann Daniel Courtney and son-in-law James Walter Courtney, of Summerfield; two grandchildren, Lucinda Sue ("Cindy") Courtney Pollock and William Walter ("Bill") Courtney, both of Greensboro; and two great grandchildren: Devin and Courtney Pollock. Sims, 56, died at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Little Rock, Ar. 1 Mar 1999. Robert was the stepson of Eben Winford Woodham and his wife Helen H. Henderson of Newport. His mother had married Eben in 1972. He was born in Kansas City, Ks. and lived in Newport for the last 16 years. He was a sales technician for a television sales and service company owned by Eben here. He was a veteran of the US Army and a member of the VFW Post 4684 here. Burial was in Highlan Park Cemetery in Kansas City. Survivors include his mother Helen and stepfather Eben W. Woodham of Newport; sister, Dorothy Frazier and brother Billy Sims, both of Kansas City.
