Dear Friends and Family,
Greetings from the Embassy of the Prince of Peace in Washington, DC, where we now live. How
grateful we are to have family and friends like you, who stand by us so faithfully. We thank you
for your prayers, your financial support, and for your letters and cards of encouragement.
Without you we could not continue in our ministry to the nations. We pray that the Prince of
Peace would bless you abundantly in every way throughout the coming year.
We are also grateful to have our family together for Christmas. Bethany just returned from her
semester of communication studies in London. She will be at Temple University in Philadelphia
again in January, but will be able to visit often. Anna and Esther are settling in to their home-schooling. We are so thankful to have a home again after so many months of living out of
suitcases. Please pray for Bethany and Anna for guidance for their futures, as Bethany will be a
senior in university next year, and Anna would like to attend a Bible college. We are also
grateful that Rick's recent episode of blacking out and feeling some chest pain was revealed as a
"false alarm" after testing of his heart. However, it indicates the need to ask you to keep
covering our health in prayer.
Yesterday evening, Rick spoke, and Patti lit the Menorah and prayed for Israel here at the
Embassy of the Prince of Peace as part of a special evening of prayer for the persecuted
Christians of the world. A Washington area Christian radio station came and interviewed
Christian leaders from Egypt, Iran, Southeast Asia, etc. How it broke our hearts to hear the
reports of Christians in Egypt who had seen their small children tortured, and of a young man
hung upside-down from a ceiling fan. Please pray for us that we may somehow be used of the
Lord here in Washington, and as we go back to Egypt (and other nations of that region) next
Spring to be an encouragement to the suffering Church there. As we enjoy the blessings of God
this Christmas, let us reach out and minister the love of Jesus to those around us, and pray for
our brothers and sisters who are persecuted for their faith in the Prince of Peace.
With love and appreciation,
The Ridings
