A Prophecy Concerning America Received by Rick Ridings 2:04 A.M., Oct. 19, 1998
Mark this moment well, for on the calendar of My purposes being fulfilled, it is a milestone.
You are now entering into the beginning of the time of the separating of the sheep from the
goats. You are now entering into the beginning of the time when My harvesting angels are
being sent forth to begin to separate the weeds from My true wheat. They will pull out all that
which causes offense. For I will no longer allow such mixture in My field. I will no longer
allow such mixture in My Body.
That which has been overlooked in the past will no longer be tolerated. For this is a moment
when the "stakes are being raised". Those "small" open doors which My Body has excused in
the past, will now become welcome signs to the Enemy if they are not quickly closed. There
will no longer be the luxury of taking a long time to deal with offenses anunforgiveness. There
will no longer be the luxury of stalling obedience when My Spirit begins to deal with an area of
offense. There will no longer be the luxury of excusing pride and the building of your own
kingdoms.
In America, the Titanic, the "golden calf" of the economy has stuck its ice-berg tonight. For
have I not said in My Word that I will enter into the valley of Jehoshaphat (the place of
judgment) with those nations which have divided up My Land? (Joel 3:2). That which sped
forward, not heeding the calls of warning, has now stuck its ice-berg, and the waters of My
judgment are beginning to flow.
But do not grieve and mourn that which has been the greatest hindrance to the working of My
Spirit in bringing the people of this nation to Myself. Only when the golden calf has been swept
away by My waters of judgment, will the waters of my cleansing be seen as to be desired. Only
when the dollar is no longer your source will you know the delight of having Me alone as your
source. Only when you no longer lean upon the pillars of Hercules in the dollar sign, will you
learn that the only eternal pillars are my righteousness and justice.
For this begins a season of the unveiling of that which I have been doing in the hidden places
with those who were seeking Me. The same waters that are judgment to some, will be waters of
Life to others. They will be waters beginning to fill those wells that have been diligently dug.
They will be waters sweeping out strongholds of spiritual opposition which have stood opposed
to My harvest. They will be waters of My Word washing and preparing My Bride to stand
glorious in the midst of ugly selfishness which will prevail around you.
They will be waters bringing refreshing to those who have been weary, as they faithfully
followed Me into desert places, obeying and trusting Me in things that were sometimes so
difficult to understand. They will be waters causing the cut-off stumps to send forth new
branches that will not fail (Job 14:7-9). They will be waters causing seeds that were hidden to
suddenly spring forth. They will be waters that are sufficient to bring forth the Harvest.
In the midst of the shakings, in the midst of the judgments, do not look with the natural eyes and
fear. But Look to Me and be radiant. Look to the fields and see that they are white unto
Harvest. Look to Me the Spring of Living waters, and you will be fruitful oases in the desert, the
signs of My faithfulness to My character and My Word.
This is the beginning of the season where you will have the opportunity to stand with My
inheritance, the Jewish people, as I begin to allow financial pressures to provoke the "hunters
and fishers" to help them let go of the golden calf to return to the Land I have promised them. If
you will pay the price to stand with them, great will be your reward. And all of you who live
godly in Christ Jesus, will also begin to suffer persecution. For My Body in America, as it has
already been in so many other parts of the world, this is the beginning of the time to "Let not
your heart be troubled. In the world you will have persecution, but be of good cheer, for I have
overcome the world". To Him who overcomes, and stands firms until the end, the reward will
be great.
Among the nations, this is the beginning of a season of alignment. They will have to choose
whether to align themselves with Me in the battle for Mt. Zion. For I will fulfill My words, "The
LORD will roar from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem; the earth and the sky will tremble. But
the LORD will be a refuge for His people" (Joel 3:16).
[Note: Obviously, this prophecy reflects a certain understanding of the events concerning the "Wye" negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority. But as you judge this prophecy, I believe it may be helpful to search through the number of Scriptural promises from God to give back the Land, including Judea and Samaria, to the Jewish people. It was interesting to me that, after receiving this prophecy, I read in the next morning's Washington Post that President Clinton had arrived at the Wye Conference Center for supper, but did not leave until 3:00 A.M., approximately one hour after this prophecy was received. One cannot be certain, but it is certainly very possible that great pressures were being put on Prime Minister Netanyahu to "divide up the Land" (Joel 3:2) at the precise time of this prophecy.
I did not receive a date for the manifestation of judgment on the American economy, but I do believe that a certain line of no return was crossed over "in the heavenlies" which will manifest itself on the earth all too soon. But we must see this judgement with God's eyes, as something which will remove a great obstacle to spiritual harvest.
