For some of you, the river of My Spirit is a bubbling brook, starting high in the mountains, and a source of freshness, innocence, and great joy. You have been as little children, renewed in the joy and wonder of knowing Me.

For others, the river of My Spirit is like the rapids further down the mountain, and you have felt the power of my waves and rapids crashing upon you. You have felt the power of My Spirit purifying you, washing away sin, bringing to the surface those areas to which you must die in order to know My life. At times you have been afraid of this process of dying to self and to self-confidence, in order that you might put all your confidence in Me alone. But my rapids and waves are not sent to destroy you, only to cleanse and prepare you for what lies ahead.

For others, the river of My Spirit is like the deep, broad, stately river at the bottom of the mountain. You are coming into a new experience of flowing with my purposes. You are experiencing My peace in a new way, as You have died to self and to your own efforts, and are learning My rest. You are experiencing times of quiet worship and communion with Me that are resulting in a new depth of peace in your hearts.

For others, the river of My Spirit is like a place where that river is overflowing its banks in ferocious flooding. You are hearing My Spirit calling you to warn the nations of impending times of great social turbulence and judgment. You are interceding for the nations, and calling them to repentance and reconciliation.

For others, the river of My Spirit is like a place where many rivers join together before they flow into the ocean. You are obeying my call to see the different rivers of my people learn to flow together into the greatness of My plans and purposes. You are starting to see something of the greatness of My purposes. You are learning to live only for My kingdom, and My eternal purposes.

For others, the river of My Spirit is a very difficult and frustrating place right now, because you are swimming against the current. You only see one part of the river and want to stay there, so you refuse to allow me to carry you along to a further part of My great work in your life. You want me to only work in you in the ways you have known in the past. So now you are fighting to go back to where you once were, rather than allowing me to carry you on to greater depth in Me.

Hear the call of My Spirit...I will carry you to where you belong in this river at any given time. The river of My presence of My Spirit is far greater than anything you have experienced or imagined in the past. Trust Me to carry you. Don't judge others whom I have carried to a different part of the river than you are now in. Don't try to swim against the current of My will. Just be open to this great river of My Holy Spirit, and allow Me to take you to different parts of that river at different times, according to My perfect wisdom for Your life. Learn to be carried by the river of My grace. You can trust Me.
