Land Grants


Given unto ffrancis Norwood Sr att a towne meeting [six] akers of upland liing bye Goose Cove liinge alonge by good man Stanwood Sr at the head of his lott and soe running along to a birch tree of the other side of the swamp and at the other end a beach tree


John Pearce doth record unto ffrancis Norwood Sr that 6 akers of upland which the towne gave him at a towne meeting the 16th day of march 1654 lying upon the east side of Lobster cove being the 4th lott in number from Goose cove bounded with Richard Beefard lotte on the south side and Richard Windoes lot one the north side...like wise 6 akers which I bought of Richard Beefards being the 3 lott in number which is the said John do record to said ffrancis his [heirs]...and [assigns] for ever


Att a towne meeting held the 22 ii 68 ther was given unto francis norwood Six akers of upland lying alonge by the sid of the six akers the twone gave him in the year 1664 and is laid out and bounded by the lott laying as follows...next to Goose cove the bound tree is a red oke and att the uper end of east C... with another red oke and att the west with a hemlock only the wood was reserved for the use of the towne


Att a towne meeting held in Gloster the 5 of January 73 their was given to francis norwood a smal parcel of upland att the uper end of the ground which is afor mentioned that the towne gave him that he might run his fence straight from the easter bound tree being a red oke... ... ... to the wester bound tree which is also [a red oke] which is between the land the towne gave the said norwood and that which he bought of John Pearce
