Oct 1826 Married by Rev.George A Irion, Mr.Robert Norwood to
Miss Levice Sojourner, all of this county. [County is Wilkinson]
Feb 1829 J. Joor, Execr., of John Norwood/s estate will sell land
- known as the place where Col. Joseph J.Scott resided.
Sept 1830 Died the 15th, in the 3rd year of her age, Jane,
daughter of Robert Norwood.
Nov 1831 N. Norwood and also Robert Norwood wish to sell their
- plantations and etc. Their plantations are 6 miles from Ft.Adams,
- and both join each other.
June 1833 Elizabeth Chandler, admx., and James M. Norwood,
- admr., of the James Chandler's estate in Amite Co.
- May 1834 Died the 7th, at the house of Philip Noland, in this
County, in the 24th year of her age, Mrs. Levice Norwood, consort
of Mr. Robert Norwood. She left an infant and a disconsolate
- husband.
- Feb 1835 Jno. McNulty and Jno. L. Wall dissolves their
- copartnership and have associated themselves in business at Fort
Adams with Nicholas Norwood. [John Wall was married to a
- Lovelace girl.]
June 1835 Mr. Robert Norwood's health has declined and must
- leave the southern country, consequently he has withdrawn his
- name from our firm. Fells, Saunders, and Norwood.
May, 1836 Married the 12th by the Hon. C.P. Smith, Mr. Robert
Norwood to Miss E.E.C. Lewis, all of this county. [ Smith is
- probably Cotesworth Prestwood Smith. And the Lewis family is the
- owner of Woodville Republican currently.]
- Oct 1836 Wm.Morgan Tew, admr., in right of his wife Sarah
- and Sarah Young Tew, admrs., of the Francis P. Wall estate, will
- sell land. One tract known as "Berry Hill" containing 400 arpens,
- bounded by lands of the estate of Gliza Ann Ginn, the lands of
Robert Norwood, and the lands of Thomas Lovelace heirs, land
- formerly belonged to John Wall, deceased. [John Wall was married
- to Thomas Lovelace's sister. Thomas is my ancestor.]
July,1837 Copartnership of Jno. L. Wall and Nics. Norwood has
- been dissolved.
June 1838 Married the 30th by the Rev. Mr. Fish, Mr. Nicholas
Norwood to Mrs. M.A. Hamilton, all of this county.
Nov 1838 Noel Norwood and Elias Norwood, admrs. of the
Martha Norwood estate will sell a tract of 361 acres and a tract of
- acres of land. Also on the same day they will sell all personal
- estate belonging to the estate.
