Chicago Trip 2001
So - how big was the anchor?
Hold your cursor over the picture to see.
First stop - The Navy Pier.
Tony,Tabitha,Tim,Rochelle, and Hannah / Mary and Jason
Must have been a REALLY big boat!
It was very windy on the pier - well duh!
Some of us went to the Art Institute,
The collection there is incredible!
We're talking BIG pictures
From Picasso to Wood (Sorry American Gothic is blurred, no flash allowed.)
Probably a Jazzer.
The view from the Sears Tower was impressive.
Others went to the Museum of Science and Industry.
All of went to the top of the Sears Tower.
Later that evening groups attended performances by
Blue Man Group or
The Chicago Symphony.
The festival was held at Evanston Township H.S.;
even though our busses were late picking us up, we made it just in time for the Freshman band to perform -
no pressure!

Freshman Band played first. We warm-up in the orchestra room; note the flags, they toured Germany, Canada, and China (wow).
Before we started home we stopped at the Field Museum
of Natural History to pay our respects to Sue, the Tyrannosaurus Rex.
We visited Sue and the lions from "The Ghost and the Darkness."
Everyone get in the picture; ok - back up, move together, SMILE!
Time for the long ride home - at least these aren't yellow dogs.
Home again - don't forget your stuff.
The band members were great the whole trip,
It was the sponsors you had to keep your eye on.

Oh Behave!
