So glad I found this site! I've been a fan for forty years after buying my first Bassey record at fifteen. I have seen countless concerts, have loads of video tapes of television appearances, shows etc., hundreds of LP's and CD's, concert programmes and her two recent books. There are no words to describe this truly amazing performer that could do her justice!But it is her concert appearances that make her the no.1 entertainer. Anyone who hasn't seen a live concert is missing out. Birmingham's NEC Arena holds 12,000 people and is always sold out when she appears and for two hours, she keeps us spellbound. At 62, she is still amazing. I love her to bits and will regret the day when she retires!

EXCELLENT SITE!!! I was fortunate enough to see Miss Bassey in concert recently -- she's still got "IT" -- excellent performer. The best part was, she seemed to be having so much fun! That really translates to an audience. Bravo to both Shirley and yo r cyber testament to her talent!
