Bob Geldof meets with Shaykh Nazim



Following a meeting between Shaykh Nazim, the head of the Naqshbandi Sufi Order, and a number of public figures including Bob Geldof it is rumored that Bob Geldof has converted to Islam.

Although denied by some associates of Bob Geldof, the meeting has lead many magazines including Q-News of London to report the meeting with pictures showing Shaykh Nazim and Bob Geldof raising speculation that Bob Geldof has converted to Islam.

Evidently Sir Geldof, who was knighted for his extremely active role in promoting international awareness of the famines which have crossed the Horn of Africa, and for sponsoring the Live Aid concert series which collected money and donations to help famine victims, took the name Abdullah from Shaykh Nazim al-Haqqani.

Shaykh Nazim is perhaps most well-known for his moderate stance in all areas of Islam and for his bringing literally tens of thousands of Europeans and Americans into the fold of Islam, including some very famous people, many of whom will not reveal their names. He named Sir Geldof Abdullah after his own grandshaykh, Shaykh Abdullah al-Faizi ad-Daghestani.
