"My Tribute"

Dear MaryLou,

I'm writing this page to thank you for being my faithful prayer partner, my comforter, my inspiration, and ultimately my beloved friend, but most of all thank you for just being the you that you are!

We met amongst a few million other little specks of humanity out there in cyberspace over a sweet little guy called "Grampy." I can just imagine how tickled Grampy was when I snatched his worn and damaged picture off your website and spruced it up for you. I know the Lord had His divine plan in it, because why else would I have gone to a stranger's website and audaciously snatched their family pictures off their website like that!

We hadn't even had a chance to become acquainted with each other before first one and then the other of us, and sometimes even both of us at the same time became ill, but we faithfully prayed for each other, just knowing in our hearts that there was a very special bond between us. How is it that two people who live so many miles apart, have never met each other, and know so little about the other can form such a deep and abiding bond? But then "we" didn't do it all on our own, did we? Obviously, it was the Lord Himself that had brought us together, and who are we to question the ways of the Lord? *grin*

I can't begin to tell you how many times when I was lying in my hospital bed in the still of the night, I would take such comfort in knowing with great trust and confidence that you, a relative stranger in my life, were diligently holding me up in prayer to the Lord. My three closest friends were with me daily, and though they were there with me physically, I also profoundly felt the spiritual closeness of you, and was greatly comforted by that. (Please take note of the story "The Guardians" when I get it posted in this section.)

There are no adequate words with which to express the comfort and solace that you were to me through eight long months of illness, and continue to be to me today, so I have decided to create a new section to my website called the "Power of Prayer" that I am dedicating to you in gratitude for all your prayers and caring thoughts. It will eventually have many stories depicting the awesome results obtained through the power of prayer.

I hope that I shall someday have the opportunity to meet you in person and give you the great big ol' hug that I long to give you, and to look you straight in the eye to tell you how much I appreciate you and how much you have come to mean to me. I love you very much, for you are a rare and wonderful treasure, Sweetie. How I thank the Lord for the cherished gift of sunshine that you have become in my life!

I shall always and ever be holding you in my heart, and.......

Seeing you in my prayers,
Paula

And my heartfelt prayer for you, Sweet One:

Your help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip--
he who watches over you will not slumber;
The LORD watches over you--
the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
The LORD will keep you from all harm--
he will watch over your life;
the LORD will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.
Psalms 121:2-8

I thank our God upon every remembrance of you.
Phillipians 1:3
