WSUM Information



I was netcasting local music from 7-10 pm on Wednesdays (the "Cheese Factory" show). But
unfortunately, I've graduated and moved out of town... bummer.

The last that I heard it looks like they will be getting their FM broadcasting tower, and could
have it built and be on the air by spring 1999. Their broadcasting frequency will be 91.7 FM,
and 6000 Watts strong.

Right now, only 100 people can listen-in at one time from their webpage. The quality is something
like AM radio, if you have a modem. If your connected to an ISDN line, it will sound something
like CD quality. And you need to download Real-Audio from the official Real-Audio page. At
least a 28.8 modem and a sound card is required. Lots more information is provided on their webpage.
