Stranger

Just a stranger
Sadness fills my soul
When I look into your
eyes.
The light once brilliant
there,
Was strangled by your own
hands.
And I'm a stranger to you
now.
Rivers of tears
flow,
When I hear your voice.
Still soothing to my
senses,
Yet the words cut like
knifes.
And I'm a stranger to you
now.
My body trembles,
When I search your
face.
Expressions once soft with
affection,
Have turned to solid
ice.
And I'm a stranger to you
now.
Slowly I wake from the
dream,
When I see the reality of
you.
The man I once loved so
completely,
Was only a cruel
illusion.
And YOU are a stranger to
me now.
