If you're interested in more information about telescopes, observing, or astronomy in general, nothing beats a good book! Here is a list of a few books and reference materials that I think are appropriate for someone just getting started in astronomy. Anyone who owns a telescope will most likely find that having at least one or two key books can drastically improve your understanding of the night sky and thus increase your enjoyment of astronomy as a hobby. And you'll soon find that your astronomy library will grow larger as you become a more serious and skilled observer! My own astronomy library currently consists of several dozen titles.
