88-1: Red Earth X Whirlwind Romance. One of my most successful tests of Whirlwind Romance in terms of number of good seedlings - but too many looked too much alike so only one was introduced: #88-1-3, as Visitor's Choice.

88-5: Mohric Art X Heavenly Sunlight. One of many experiments with "3/8"-breds. Sibling #88-5-1 proved stubbornly infertile but a striking garden subject so it was introduced as Wannabee. Another is still undergoing fertility tests.

88-7: My Joy X Whirlwind Romance. An experiment to determine whether unbalanced tetraploids would be as useful as triploids produced several noteworthy seedling but only one was ultimately introduced: 88-7-4 became Whirlwind Tour.

88-16: Hidden Talents X Gene's Little Secret. A nice array of colors and patterns, but from the uniformity of the cross in terms of height, flower size, and branching I believe that the pollen parent was actually the imposter rather than the real Gene's Little Secret. Three were introduced: 88-16-1 as Butterscotch Baby, 88-16-5 as Bright Prospects, and 88-16-A as Invasion Force.
