Altogether Lovely X Persian Smoke The goal: Quarterbreds with aril markings, possibly even including some pink. The pod parent, which has relatively subtle dotting and stippling, is from a long line of probable carriers of the t-factor. The pollen parent is a pink-ground bi-color.
On maiden bloom, several siblings were selected for further evaluation. The one on the left had the most impressive aril markings and was, fortunately, the strongest performer. The one on the right was the best performer of its type. Several like the center photo were eliminated from competition because they didn't have the desired aril "look".
