Bangledesh X Martha Mia

Just another cross in my exploration of the genetics of the pinkish-to-bluish violets - but this one was between two winners of the C.G. White Award.

Bangledesh

Martha Mia

The problem in working with this line is that so many excellent ones have already been introduced. Only two offspring of this cross were "keepers".  One was an interesting pastel, one of the nicest of the type I'd obtained at the time. Before it could be introduced, however, it fell victim to the "have better now" syndrome. The most spectacular flower was the darkest of the cross, with excellent form, substance, and sun-resistance.
