The goal: a pink arilbred.  Both parents had a pinkish-lavender blush, but also carried the t-factor.

On maiden bloom, the seedlings were screened solely on performance as this was not a line testing recessive traits. The one on the left was the top selection with SIG-type form, chosen for its bright yellow style arms framed by a pixilated yellow and pink cup. The one on the right was the top selection with WWR-type form, chosen for its eye-catching signal and onco-like broad beard.
