Pink Plicata Seedling X Edith Seligmann

The goal: testing the transmission of aril traits using the recessive pink plicata pattern for the TB parent.  

On maiden bloom, the seedlings were screened solely on performance.  Sibling #1, chosen for its unusually strong aril traits, was tested with halfbreds and found to be relatively fertile for this type.
