Mohric Art (Peterson, 1983) Pale silver-blue standards. Falls soft white with brownish-violet stippling on the inner half. A reddish-brown signal and deep brown beard. From Mohr Pretender X Genetic Burst, a cross that could produce both quarterbreds and halfbreds so it's current code can't be determined from pedigree alone but it was called "3/8-bred" and registered as OGB- under the quantum system. I'm not aware of any chromosome counts. It does not appear to be fully fertile, but has produced a few seedlings when crossed with halfbreds so is fertile enough to be useful in producing gardenable arilbreds. Its offspring from a cross with Boaz produced some nice, intricate patterns. One of the few iris registered as quarterbreds that I recommend for beginning hybridizers. |
