Inferno

Alliance: Autobot
Identification: Autobot Search and Rescue
Year released: 1985
Accessories: extinguisher rifle, two hose nozzles, two fists, three missiles

Comments: Inferno always looked great!! Fire engine mode is very realistic and robot form was nice.

His fire engine mode has a slick design and the red stands out trememdously! He is the same mold as Grapple of the same year and also shares the same transformations. He basically has a ladder where Grapple has a crane. The little details are neat to point out in his plastic. They include hose, nozzles, and even a "FD" sticker on his cab.

He has a lot of little pieces which are hard to keep together. I noticed a lot of times I tend to loose those white nozzle things. He has a ladder which extends out pretty far and adds to the realism of a fire truck. His robot form (although a bit strange with his ladder hanging down his back) is nice!

He was released in the Generation 2 line as well. The most interesting thing about that though is that he was not recolored in some way. He was red and shared mainly the same features. Overally Inferno is a "hot" figure. Tee hee

"Where there's smoke, there's me"

The hotter things get, the better I like it!...not only fires, but battle too. Often distracted from performing his job to engage in combat. Can do anything Earth fire trucks can in vehicular mode. Great strength...ceramic-plated armored skin can take up to 8000C. Extinguisher rifle shoots flame-suppressing foam and an energy damping beam to counter other beams. Forearms shoot missiles. Doesn't follow orders well, not very mobile as robot.
