Time Warrior (mail-away watch)
Alliance: Autobot
Identification: Watch
Year released: 1984
Accessories: instructions only
Comments: Aside from the mail-away catalogs, I had never actually seen this particular piece before. He is a very rare find. Especially if he's complete with box, insert, and instructions. As a watch it is really slick!!
The main head of the watch is the Autobot symbol. Obviously it's red and silver with a blue mouth. The wrist band is a black plastic color (at least I won't break out) with a silver connector on the end. Looks nice overall!! The mouth of the symbol is actually a button that flips open the head to reveal the actual watch screen (see below).
Once flipped open there is a digital (LCD) readout!! Underneath the screen are two buttons: a red and a blue. These help set the time and date as well as maneuver through the different functions. This particular watch has a minute/second screen and a date screen. It's pretty nice!!
The watch came in a white mail-away box with the name printed on the top. Inside the box is a plastic gray insert (where the watch sits) and an instruction manual.
Very tough to find and a nice piece. I have seen complete and mint ones like the one above go for $150 or more!! At least now the Autobots will never be late for a run in with the Decepticons!!
