Magi of the Tribunal

(as of 1201 AD)

(Note: Dates are in Anno Domini because I am to lazy to make the changes at this time)

Abydaros filius Maximina follower of Flambeau: Abydaros is obssessed with stories of Hyperborea, to which he dedicates most of his time in exploration. His knowledge of the sea is phenomenal, and the adventures he tells are countless. He is also considered one of House Flambeau's leading experts on Faerie. Unfortunately for the Theban Tribunal, he is hardly ever there. Nominally his covenant is Dolphin's Cove. Recently, he returned after an absence of thirty years. He had with him an apprentice who was gauntleted it seems in the Hibernian Tribunal -- Hektor. Abydaros himself only stayed a brief while before setting out again (this happened late 1197 into 1198). Abydaros's paren Maximina was herself the filia of Tyrish.

Acrisius filius Garai follower of Tytalus: This Tytalus from the Normandy Tribunal recently helped form the new covenant on Cyprus, the Eastern Breath. He takes after his pater, Garai, in delighting in 'monster' hunting, being a hold-over from the days of direct confrontation by the members of this House. This does not make Garai or his filius popular among the Merinita. Acrisius has taken to the seas, and delights in tracking down all manner of sea creatures.

Acrisius is known to have participated in the 3rd Crusade. He has many acquantainces in the Levant Tribunal.

Adolphus filius Tyrish follower of Flambeau: This fun loving Flambeau is in many ways the stereotype of his House. He is friendly and loves destruction. For many years he traveled throughout the east, finding challenges wherever he could. He has a terrifying reputation in Georgia. He is now a resident of the Cyllene covenant where he is perhaps most noteworthy for being a primary enforcer for the Quaesitors. A vocal member of the Hopolites, he has a tendency to show up at the most inconvenient times for those about to cause trouble. Passing his gauntlet in 1097, Adolphus is a premier member of his House and of the Tribunal.

He has had six apprentices since 1130. Many have been lost in accidents or have traveled out of the Tribunal, those that survive are Lysias, Rhinthan, and Cara Ayesha. It is known that he has pondered taking a new apprentice, but of the Tribunal of 1201 he had not yet taken a new apprentice.

In 1187 Adolphus beat Moret of Flambeau, a powerful Archmage of the Greater Alps Tribunal in his contest. Adolphus is enjoying the title and its perks immensely.

His sigil, like all about Adolphus, is boisterous. His magics bring with them all manners of reveleries. Most have only been exposed to ones of martial nature. This is more an indication of the magics they have been exposed too.

Adolphus has had for many years a powerful she-lion named Aram as a familiar. Aram has quite the reputation among the custodes of the Cyllene covenant for her benign wisdom and protective streak.

Aesceliops filius Metropona follower of Jerbiton: This magus has no covenant, traveling throughout the Tribunal and the region partaking of 'civilized' life. At the Tribunal of 1177 he was chastised for his practice of establishing sanctums wherever he was staying the night. His politics are uncertain, yet certain behavior at the 1181 Tribunal indicates sympathy with the Latin faction. At the 1189 Tribunal he spoke eloquently against strictures that would be tougher than the Treaty of Rome.

He is known to be involved in several trade ventures dealing with the Saracens. In recent years Aesceliops has been travelling regularly to Damascus, and it is known he has formed significant dealings with members of the Levant Tribunal. Many would not mind if he shifted residence.

Arion filius Hesychius follower of Bjornaer: This elder magus has not been seen away from the water in over twenty years. He is very attached to his heart-beast, the dolphin. The founder of Dolphin's Cove covenant over a hundred years ago, he has been pushed out of the running of the covenant by its more active members, or perhaps he just lost interest. In 1181 he showed interest in Corax, enough to speak up for him in a political situation (even if he used a high-powered Imaginem spell to do so). He is believed to be over 130 years old. The other Bjornaer do not speak of his attendance at their Gathering of Twelve Years.

Arislan filius Sextius Niger follower of Flambeau: This member of Urania covenant is one of the powerful aspects of Zela's arsenal. He is disinterested in politics and rarely attends tribunals.

Beroe filia Carneades follower of Jerbiton: Hailing from the Stonehenge Tribunal, where her pater is a member of Scholae Pythaoriis. She herself has spent time in the Iberian Tribunal, where she pursued philosophy. She came here hoping to learn more. She shows little patience in the emrchantile ways of many 'modern' members of the House.

Boethius filius Italos follower of Jerbiton: This member of Italus's lineage dwells at the Academy of Thebes.

Calandra filia Feronia follower of Criamon: This young maga passed her Gauntlet in 1201.

Carcer filius Hyale follower of Tremere: This Tremere's lineage is firmly established in the Provencal Tribunal, leaving him in an odd position here in the East. His sigil counts for not in the Tribunal declarations here. His presence here is either rebellion of a sort (by moving far from his pater) or he is following very clear instructions. He is a member of the Eastern Breath.

Catreus filius Hoplomachi follower of Jerbiton. This magus, a member of the Ephesus covenant, passed his gauntlet in 1148. A proponent of the wider Order, he argues that the Theban tribunal has become too insular; this having led to its decline of power. A favorite saying of his is: "Greeks create, Latins rule." A vocal, flamboyant man, Catreus always projects an intense interest in everything and everyone around him. After meeting a magus he will often known details of their past, their interests and their likes and dislikes. All gleaned without using magic. His personality exudes trust. His sigil is an array of perfumes.

Cleopatra filia Iardanus follower of Bonisagus: This young Bonisagus is a specialist in healing, not only physically but mentally. Her recognized strength in Mentem and her lineage has many people wondering about her capabilities. She joined the Urania covenant after her gauntlet in 1181. Her presence at Urania has been quiet, and she has seemed to be willing to take the lead of the elder magus. This alone is seen as strange by some observers in the Tribunal, since her lineage has always been the one to become leaders.

She has spent the last decade enhancing her magics. It is still too soon to tell if she will follow her pater to greatness. She has recently begun circulating several tractatus and copies of spells to the Order, which show her interest in Creo Mentem.

Corinna filia Epateus follower of Guernicus: Gauntleted in 1173, this Quaesitor returned in 1189 from an appointment at Magvillius to take up the duties of her House. She has been assigned to the Ephesus Covenant. Little is known of her, though from her lineage it can be guessed she is firmly Traditionalist. From the Tribunals she has attended so far (starting in 1189) she comes across as quiet and observant. While she says little, those remarks she does choose to part with are pithy and reflective of things unsaid. Those in the know recognize her strong affinities to the Seekers.

Cosmas filius Iphigenius follower of Flambeau: Cosmas has opted out of Hermetic life, and especially that of his House. He is the first Flambeau to go into retreat on Mt Athos. His doing so created rumors throughout the Tribunal and his House. Most Flambeau consider him weak.

Deristes filius Marta follower of Bjornaer: A Bjornaer who had found his heartbeast (a panther), but, before he was formally recognized as a magus at the Gathering of the Twelve Years, was taken as an apprentice by a Bonisagus, Marta. Upon passing that gauntlet, he returned to his "true" house, but with a more than somewhat non-standard mindset. Has a definite belief in the need to participate in politics, to protect the unique aspects of each tradition and prevent excessive abuse of those less powerful. He is generally supportive of the Quaesitores "when they are right". He has somewhat of the Bonisagus tendency to specialize (in Creo) and almost definitely has the Hermetic Bjornaer flaw. He has more contacts among Ex Miscellena than most; certainly tending towards positions they would tend to support if/when they pay attention to Tribunal events. He belongs to the covenant of 'Beloved of Erictho' a collection of Ex Miscellanea magi, most following the tradition of Thessalian witchery. A fair individual, he almost brings an innocence to politics. Delighting in the play, almost like a kitten. Be warned, though, he has shown his claws more than once.

Deristes draws most of his political strength from the outcasts of the order, but his greatest influence comes from his ability to find and craft compromises, not from the sigils he carries. While he normally supports the Quaesitores, given nearly balanced choices he will support a Transitionalist interpretation over a Traditionalist interpretation. As he never refers to either of his paters, his Bjornaer lineage is generally unknown or forgotten, though Iardanus and some other magi of the time he was taken remember that he was taken by Marta from a Bjornaer, and may even remember which one.

Domina Haephestia filia Anastasia follower of Verditius: This known seeker is originally from the Rus Tribunal. She passed her gauntlet in 1163. A brilliant maga, she is beginning to make a reputation for her works in glass, many techniques of which she learned from the Persians. She is quite willing to trade information, though like most in her House, she bargains hard. It is unknown here her political allegiance lies, though it is safe to say it does not go against that of her Covenant, Urania.

Her entry in the most recent Verditius Gathering was a glass chariot which translates itself along the light which emanates from its driver's eyes. She has recently been inquiring after covenants that may have vis sources that are sand, which seems to make sense with where her magic lies.

Eirenea filia Teresna follower of Guernicus: The head Quaesitor of the Tribunal, and a firm traditionalist. She is, however, aware of the problems facing the Tribunal and often aids those who seek changes. She is located at the Cyllene covenant. Her opinion towards the Aerie is difficult to say, though she recently forced them to make an addendum to the charter. The loss of her filius has filled her with a noticeable sorrow. This sorrow has caused her to dedicate herself even more to the role of her House.

A Rego mistress, she has authored several well known summae. Her sigil is a rhythm that varies in intensity and syncopation with the magics cast.

With Epateus's suspension from active duties, Eirenea has assumed the position as chief Quaesitor in the Tribunal. This has some worried, since she too is quiet old (being a contemporary of Epateus), if still active, and it worries some that her eventual (and probably not to far in the future) removal for duty could mean siginificant changes to the political life of this Tribunal.

Epateus filius Opeikon follower of Guernicus: The former head quaesitor of the Tribunal, as of Spring 1200 he has been suspended from active duty due to his advanced state of Twilight. It is believed he is not long for the world. He has moved to Magvillius to serve in an advisory position to the House. It is unsure what this will mean to the politics of the Tribunal.

Epulones filius Iphicles follower of Merinita. Resident of the Urania covenant, this magus passed his gauntlet in 1153. He is part of the Merinita counter-movement that wishes to return to the original magic of Merinita and away from faeries and their exotica. Though an active writer and exponent of this view, he is really not a political being. While he is a member of Urania, and his sigil supports that covenant's political machinations, Epulones himself is known to spend most of his time at a residence he keeps near Athens. He has a stork familiar.

As a member of the counter-Faerie Merinita movement, Epulones views Faerie as a dangerous diversion; he actually claims that they are not of the wilderness at all, but are rather spirits of man. His arguments to this effect - though quite logical and convincing - are rather vehement. He holds that the Hermetic divisions between western fae and exotika and between Faerie and Magic are incorrect and artificial.

Etria filius Gorthyno follower of Tytalus: This Archmage is the paren of Manuel. He is renowned for the depth of his political games and has many enemies in the Roman Tribunal. Many say he has broken the Code in his relations with the mundanes many times. He very rarely makes an appearance at functions of the Order. Etria spent over forty years in isolation from the Tribunal before appearing at the Tribunal of 1185 to take the position of Praeco -- as the eldest magus of the Tribunal this was his right. All this seems as part of an intricate game he has been playing for over a century.

Magically, he is known as an excellent shapechanger. His magic needs no vocal or gestures to be cast. Manuel's victory over him in 1187 was the third challenge he lost. And the only one to a magus of this Tribunal (one of the two is from Doissetep). His challenge involves selecting an individual, and without directly using magic, to change that person utterly. Since he is a Tytalus, both he and the challenger work on the same person.

Eusthathos filius Italos follower of Jerbiton: This member of Italus's lineage dwells at the Academy of Thebes.

Feronia filia Heliodorus follower of Criamon: This Criamon, a member of Domus Trismegisus, represents the branching of Criamon magus of the Tribunal who do not descend from Phleboros. She passed her gauntlet in 1139. She focuses on the Enigma as Word, and is known to have a great deal of interest and is a believer in Christianity. She often espouses the view of those Hellenes who stand for the Truth of Christianity. A fact many Hellenes would prefer to avoid, but never seem totally capable of doing so. She is easy-going and quite friendly. Her tattoos are often covered by silk-veils.

Flacilla filia Eusthathos follower of Jerbiton: Member of the Academy of Thebes. She is perhaps the most politically actvie, aprticipating ina wide variety of circulars. She is greatly interested in issues of the mind, memory and the soul.

Gelanor filius Procopius follower of Mercere: Officially stationed at Dolphin's Cove, this young Redcap spends most of his time as an intermediary to other Tribunals that are reached by sea. It is not unusual for him to travel the whole breadth of the Meditterean in his duties.

Gordiana filia Megethia follower of Ex Miscellanea. The leader of the Beloved of Erictho covenant is a renowned witch. A follower of the ancient witcheries of Thessaly, she is better known to the inhabitants of the northern Balkans, than of the wider Order which she pretty much avoids. Those who do know of her will mention some of the pretty gruesome tales of her aggressiveness. It is said that she is as variable as the moon in her moods.

Hektor filius Abydaros follower of Flambeau: This young magus was raised on a distant island. He was trained (and raised) by his paren when Abydaros was shipwrecked there during one of his ocean voyages of discovery. While not native Greek, he is a hellene through and through. A keen wit, a sense of style and a have-at-them attitude defines this magus's personality. His magical interests lie in the area of light, both as lumen and lux. He also shows a great deal of interest in the Art of Mentem.

Trained in isolation from the Order, accepted into it under circumstances that are not entirely clear, he has journeyed forth with his paren to the Theban Tribunal where he hopes to settle down. Arriving too late for the Tribunal of 1197, he presence is unknown, except to a select few.

Hephaestus filius Iliupersis follower of Verditius: The paren of Theristes, this obese man has a particularly foul reputation in the Order as a voluptuary and an abuser of his Art. Magi recognize his skills as a Verditius but think that such a pervert should not be allowed in the Order and it is just a good thing the Code protects him now isn't it. He is a member of Dolphin's Cove but his political sympathies seem to lie only within himself.

His entry in the Verditius gathering was a golden boy ("anatomically correct") which was designed to act as a lab assistant. It was taught various things by Hephaestus, including lots of Philosophy and such, but it had no emotions. It was regarded as not particularly stunning, and many magi are gossiping that Hephaestus is losing his 'edge.'

Iardanus filius Marta follower of Bonisagus: Iardanus is a firm supporter of the Hellene tradition within the Order. His lineage has more in common with those of Trianoma than that of the lab rats and his reputation in the Order shows it. For years Iardanus has been focusing on expanding the Order back eastwards, stopping the erosion of his Tribunal that has been going on for the last century. He is the patron and political ally for the covenant. His familiar is a golden eagle, representative of imperial power, which has bestowed a great deal upon Iardanus, enforcing his role as a power-broker. Of course, others whisper that it is just one more sign of his overweening pride.

In 1190, took a new apprentice. It is unknown if this apprentice is being directed in the same way Cleopatra is, or in some other fashion.

Marta, Iardanus's paren, is well known for her researches into familiars and vim. It is said she was particualrly inspired by the stories of how Mercere lost his gift. Her writings on familairs are lost, since she went into final Twilight before she could release a finished form. It is rumored that both Deristes and Iardanus may have copies of her researches.

Iphigenus filius Manilius follower of Flambeau: Iphigenus is a good example of a western mage (his pater) who journeyed to this Tribunal seeking ancient mysteries, stayed and his lineage has adopted whole heartedly its traditions. Iphigenus is of the Perdo persuasion in his House, but that hasn't stopped him from becoming bosom buddies with Adolphus, they are amici. Iphigenus, too, resides at the Cyllene covenant. Needless to say, Iphigenus is an active Seeker - with many political contacts in this area. Most regard him as one of the leaders of this faction.

Recently he has been exploring the laws of motion. His recent entry in the wrestling match of 1189 would indicate that he has mastered magic to destroy this phenomena. Whether he has solved many of the age old questions of motion and change remains to be seen. His familiar is a very large python that hasn't been known to leave his covenant in decades.

Iphigenius has had two filii, Paulina and Cosmas. He rarely talks about such things.

A proud member of the lineage of Euphronius, though this is something not that well known in the Theban Tribunal, Iphigenius's lineage ahs actually come home after several hundred eyars of being away. Perhaps this is one of the reasons he has adopted so well over the decades to the Greek east.

Kordel filius Gabrielle follower of Bonisagus: Member of the covenant of the Eastern Breath. His mater is a renowned expert in research around the Art of Rego and Impetus whose works are considered some of the best recent scholarship in the area. Kordel himself has recently circulated a liber questionium on Rego that is well received as being applicable to a young magus, and replying to a few interesting problems. He is descended from the lineage of Matygus.

Leucippius filius Androcales follower of Criamon: A young magus who passed his gauntlet in 1171. His pater brought him back from expeditions to the east (Persia). He continues his ties with his native culture. In the years since finishing his apprenticeship, he has been too absorbed in magical studies to return there permanently, though he has begun to make long excursions. For now, he is highly interested with his idiosyncratic magical theories -- which seem to keep him rooted in Phleboros. He is the youngest and most active of the Phleboros covenant, up until the events of 1185 he was the only magus from this covenant to attend several Tribunal meetings.

Leucippius is generally clueful in his interactions with other magi, but he seems distracted by some ultra-secret project. While he has interacted in the past with a Seeker circular on faeries, he refuses to comment more on the issues. His commentary on jinn have caused some stir in those curcles. Overall, he's Persian through and through. His interests regard the emanation of God and how magic is the dream of God. Those who are familair with Islam can easily tell that he is shiite. With respect to Feronia and her theories and research, he seems to think she has missed the boat.

Lucillius filius Philippides follower of Jerbiton: Leader of the Covenant of Dolphin's Cove, Lucillius firmly supports the interests of his House and is firmly ensconced in trade. While a member of the Theban Tribunal he often sides with Italian interests, seeing the future with the Italian city states. He has been reprimanded twice by the Tribunal for his involvements in mundane commerce.

Lucretius filius Meander of House Bonisagus: This resident at Dolphin's Cove covenant specializes in magics of Aquam. His wizard's sigil is sensory hints of his birthplace and youth, Crete. A warm saltwater breeze, the clatter of a fish market, the looming clouds of a winter downpour, etc. He passed his gauntlet in 1179.

Lucritius filius Urgens, follower of Bjornaer: No magus outside House Bjornaer is certain whether Arion or Lucritius is older. Not that it really matters when Lucritius spends far less time interacting with other magi than Arion. Lucritius is believed not to be associated with any covenant. Certainly his sigil has only been brought to tribunal once, and then by Arion who cast it in only one vote. Still, the redcaps listed him in the most recent census, as a "resident of the Empire" and a "magus of the tribunal". His heartbeast has generally been forgotten, but then, he is also. It seems that he is of the belief that withdrawal is the path to follow. Should he return he would be a political unknown, apparently without allies, enemies, or commitments.

Lysias filius Adolphus follower of Flambeau: Lysias is the oldest surviving apprentice of Adolphus. He is gregarious and outgoing, but not as boisterous as his pater. He is one of the fastest magi about. His wit and fingers are quick. His temper is fairly quick, but not an overt flaw.

He is not a member (nominal or otherwise) of a covenant. His travels take him too far, too often to settle down. Hhe has a reputation for his obsession for Prestor John . Any lead, lore or tidbit about him is a ready way to get on his "good side." Coupled to this is his quest for the Phoenix (in earthly form) and the rest of the "Sun Lore" associated with various aspects of legends. He has a propensity for rhetoric. While, he has some stereotypical Flambeau traits, his manner is tempered by his journeies into heathen lands. He is well-travelled and is well aware of the various mores outside the Theben Tribunal and the Order in general. Part of this is tied to his suseptability to Divine powers. He finds himself needing to use other methods to gain information. In addition, Lysias is known to be an active Christian. How he ties this into his otherobsessions is unknown to all but his closest intimates.

Lysippe filia Inachus follower of Flambeau: Hailing from the Stonehenge Tribunal, this Flambeau is a typical headstrong member of her House. She does have Seeker interests. She is a member of the covenant of the Eastern Breath.

Macros filius of Didymos follower of Verditius: This reclusive Verditius is famous for his statuary. He is the fourth oldest magus in the Tribunal. He is resident at Domus Trismegistus. His work in statues and automata has recently branched out to a fascination with the constructs of human society, including language. His entry in the Verditius contest was a set of automata that spoke using the articulation of the human mouth instead of Imaginem. They can speak, sing, and recite Homer (both major epics). However, they lack all free will or thought. It is known that Macros is continuing research along this line. His covenant-fellows at Domus Trismegistus have commented in the recent past of his endownment of an orphanage in Constantinople.

Manetho filius Geron follower Tremere: A soldier in the Tremere organization, he was sent out of the Transylvanian Tribunal to aid Matri in her efforts. He is a member of the Ephesus covenant. It is uncertain where his political allegiances lie, beyond the known fact of his loyalty to his House comes before all else. He is a native Greek and spent his childhood, before becoming an apprentice, upon Mt. Athos. His familiar is a mole that is rarely seen by most magi.

Manetho has a reputation as a military man, having served in a mundane capacity in many armies over the years. He has published several renowned texts on military tactics and strategy. It is commonly regarded that he is one of the key military leaders of House Tremere if they were ever to set in plan their conquest of the mundanes.

Manuel filius Etria follower of Tytalus: This Tytalus is the only filius of Etria who survived his gauntlet. In the shadow of a potent member of his House, Manuel is deeply involved in the dealings with the Levant Tribunal and is known to regard trade as a great challenge. His relations with the covenant have been rough, though he is a member of the Hellene camp. He passed his gauntlet in 1127. In 1187 he beat his pater in a rightful challenge and thus became an ArchMage.

In recent years Manuel has been active with the Cyprus covenant, which he has been a strong advocate for, visiting there often.

Marcianus filius Rhesus follower of Mercere: This old Redcap retired in 1184 to head the Library of the Theban Tribunal, located at Domus Trismegistos. He is a brusque man with little patience in his retirement for foolish questions and foolish causes. He tends to know everyone and everything going on in the Tribunal, while at the same time avowing that he has no interest in the going-ons of his fellow magi.

Matri filia Bocephis follower of Tremere: This maga is located at the Cyllene covenant. She is the oldest Tremere of the Tribunal and oversees the House here. She is a dedicated Hellene, but will never put this over the interests of her House. Since completing her gauntlet in 1085 she has trained five apprentices. A renowned rhetorician, she ahs written many well received texts, including training manuals for apprenties.

Her familiar is a nightingale. Her sigil involves the sounds of arguement, usually taking the form of a legal brief.

Meander filius Kitares follower of Bonisagus: A member of the lab-rat faction of his House, he is primarily known for his work on the Limits of Magic, his disputatio on the Limits of Magic is considered by many, within and without his House, to be the premier work in analyzing the problems and questions one would need to complete in order to break any of the known Hermetic Limits of Magic. Surprisingly, he is known to have a voice in some political discussions, stressing the Unity of the Order over any cultural divisions. Yet, he has made this point so infrequently, that most consider him a non-player in political issues. He is based at Domus Trismegistus.

A source of amused gossip, his sigil is the sound of chattering women, more appropriate to the women's quarters or a harem, than the solitary lifestyle of a magus like Meander.

Nauplius filius Oniscritus follower of Criamon: The once and perhaps future Praeco, this Criamon is ancient and bizarre, having passed through many Twilights. Renowned for his ties to ancient forms of Divination, some whisper he has learned from the shade of Apollo. Whether that is the truth, he is in the tradition of the last of the Priests of Pythian Apollo who once had great power from their control of the Oracle at Delphi. Nauplius spent many decades avoiding all power in the Order outside of that gained in his Clutch. Recently he has been stirred from his introspections to rouse Phleborous once more to activity, being responsible for two of its recently gauntleted magi: Tiphys and Rom. He also appeared at the strange Tribunal of 1185 to take the praecoship, only to have it taken from him by Etria.

Nauplius combines specialties of Intellego and Creo. While famous for his divinitory ability, it is the strength of his Creo texts that have given him fame in the wider Order.

Though often considered a non-player, addled with age and twilight, a select few guess that this is only a front. Constantine believes that in such madness is perhaps the key to something that the other magi of the tribunal may require. Something that perhaps the mainstream magi of Order have begun to lack. The majority of magi tend to avoid him, due to his apparent madness.

Nephele filius Syleus follower of Jerbiton: Intensely interested in Hermetic Law, she passed her Gauntlet in 1201.

Nonnius filius Matri follower of Tremere: This magus, gauntleted in 1193, has not yet setted down. After the Tribunal he journeyed to Urania, where he was looking into membership.

Omphale filia Sinnis follower of Criamon: Resident at Phleboros, she passed her gauntlet in 1147. Her familiar is an otter. An Aquam and Terram specialist she often disappears on long journeys, though she has often claimed - often to a degree of disbelief - that she never enters another Tribunal. Stories of her marvelous journeys deep into the earth have circulated amongst magi for years. Her passion for the work of Pausanioas, which she often carries a copy of, raises some speculation that she has affinities to the Seeker camp. However, she has never attended one of their councils and has remained quiet on the whole issue.

Her sigil is moisture. This moisture varies in quanitity, quality and amount with the magics she casts. Many people have often chuckled at her sweating wine while enacting a ritual.

It seems that Omphale would be a Seeker if she cared -- she simply doesn't want anything to do with the Seekers. Most Criamon don't (reference the Seeker write-up in OoH and HoH, which indicates that there are few Criamon members. The Seekers route of power usually doesn't appeal to the more esoteric Criamon). Her focus is similar to her mater’s, but she's more interested in subterranean waters than fires. When asked by Stentor about her recent travels, she dodged the question, although she did admit that she has been continuing her journeys.

Panodorus filius Eusebius follower of Jerbiton: This magus recently returned to the Theban Tribunal after a lengthy stay in the Levant Tribunal. A former Seeker, he recently became quite pious in his philosophy. He has returned to the Tribunal to join the Mt. Athos covenant. His filius, Manetho, remains in the Levant Tribunal. A noticible rift seems to seperate the two of them.

Passara filius Victoria follower of Verditius: Gauntled at the Tribunal of 1193, this young maga has joined the covenant of Dolphin's Cove.

Paternus filius Italos follower of Jerbiton: This member of Italus's lineage dwells at the Academy of Thebes.

Paulina filius Iphigenus follower of Flambeau: A daughter of the Ducas house of Constantinople, Paulina (not her bith name of course) is descended from the blood of emperors. A fact she never lets anyone she fels is beneath her remember. Like her pater she follows the path of Perdo. She is a known Seeker, having recently spent the time since her Gauntlet traveling through Egypt and other places. She has returned to the Theban tribunal in 1193, she says, to explore her roots in more detail. She has been accepted as a member of the Phleboros covenant.

She says she joined Phlebouros because she's pursuing the lynchpins of an ancient Greek system of astrological motifs attached to places of great aura that has origins with the ancient Athenians that fought the Atlantians. At least, this is what she thinks, although she admits it may have a later root. She believes that one such lynchpin is the Omphalos.

Paulina and Perditus Magister have definitely hit it off, at least in as much as they both can talk about Perdo with something approaching a passion.

Regarding her pater, she seems quite positive, although Iphigenus has often avoided the issue of his filia.

Perditus Magister filius Adronicus follower of Criamon: Perditus is a bit of a weirdo, even for a Criamon. His belief that the Enigma can be understood most completely from the perspective of loss has led him to a series of experiments which even his fellows claimed was unusual. A resident of the Phleborous covenant, he is in his dotage, yet has recently produced an apprentice.

Perditus Magister was the primary tutor for Stentor in ritual scarring during 1194. During this training, Perditius indicated to Stentor that he has been researching grief, though he refers to it as “GRIEF.” He did journey into Arcadia recently, and he has some odd tales to tell. He visited several of the winter areas, following faerie cosmology. As a side note, he has never written a summa on Perdo.

Regarding the line of Scylax, there were three filii of Andronicus and probably a cadet lineage a little further up the pike. None of the other Theban magi are of the line. The next Athenian gathering of the lineage will be in June of 1213.

Philaretus filius Meander follower of Bonisagus: Gauntleted at the Tribunal of 1193, Philaretus has joined the covenant of Dolphin's Cove. A pure lab rat he cares little for Hermetic politics, or so discussions at the Tribunal gave evidence.
