All Resolves in the Tao...

    a meditation with Rob Campbell

Where are all of our nice neat lines between female and male behaviors?

Blur, blur, blur.

All resolved in the Tao, wherein each element moves towards its opposite,

and each contains within it the seeds of it's opposite. Cool, huh?

Very cool...

indeed.

Life...

as a Whole...

is very cool:

It works.

Very well.

Very, very, very, very well.

And that is very, very, very, very, cool...

... WHEN we experience it from the place inside us

which is Whole.

Hence, the 'whole' spiritual quest

that is synonymous with being human.

Every other life form on Earth automatically,

instinctively,

operates from this inherent Wholeness of Universe

because it can not imagine anything else.

What is it that allows man/woman to imagine separation?

His/her ability to BE AWARE of what he/she is aware OF.

In other words...

skipping merrily along...

every human beaming is already enlightened.

Their unique relationship to awareness IS enlightenment.

To be able to be aware of awareness is 'in-the-Light-en-ment'.

But we don't get to LIVE that enlightenment unless and until

we ALLOW our Selves to 'step back' into and be-come

the Wholeness our awareNESS comes from.

Yes..

everyone is already enlightened.

But...

if they don't acknowledge 'de Light'... de Wholeness...

as their essential nature,

they bounce about endlessly at the whim of duality.

All of our rights and our wrongs,

good and bads,

come from associating our Selves primarily with duality:

right/wrong...

up/down...

in/out...

left/right...

good/bad...

are all based on this habit of associating our Selves

with the material world that must have opposites in order to exist:

in order to have any 'thing',

there must be some thing OTHER THAN this 'thing'.

This real-ization of Wholeness is unstoppable

and infinitely flexible in its ways and means of being real-ized.

"Enlightenment doesn't care how you get there."

~  From Lazy Man's Guide to Enlightenment

Wholeness is the basis of every thing.

No matter where you look/taste/touch/smell/hear...

Wholeness is there.

And we begin looking/tasting/touching/smelling/hearing

this Wholeness in more and more 'things'

the more we associate our Selves with

Who and What we really are:

the Whole Universe.

And the Whole Universe is infinite and eternal.

You can't get any more 'One' than that.

There are no borders to Universe...

our individual awareNESS comes from the field of pure awareness...

the field of pure awareness is what the Whole Universe is made of

on the Brahman/quantum level of Universe.

We--

both male and female aspects of the same One Wholeness--

have been on a journey of dis-covering this Wholeness

WHILE immersed in the inherent duality of material existence.

This allows us to be conscious co-creators with/in the Material Universe.

This is our distiny.

Our ability to imagine separation,

which is based on our ability to be aware

that we are aware

of duality

and it's infinite number of 'separate pieces',

is also our ability to be aware of our inherent Wholeness--

the unified field,

the field of pure awareNESS,

from which our individual awareness FROM.

That's why enlightenment is not what anyone 'thinks' it is.

The quest for enlightenment has been--

and will continue to be until we get it--

based on our habitual way of looking for our enlightenment

'out there'.

Out there is only possible from the stand point of separation.

It's like realizing you can never say,

"I am enlightened."

'I am' IS enlightenment...

in-the-light-en-ment.

It's this internal ISNESS that has thrown humans off

for many a thousands of years.

By basing reality on duality instead of Wholeness,

which happens if we associate our Selves

with the material world of things,

we've missed the 'whole' point of the 'whole' 'thing'.

When are we enlightened?

Whenever we are AWARE that we are happy,

joyous, fulfilled, enthusiastic, clear, loving, excited, passionate.

We can become consciously aware that these positive feelings

feel better than negative feeling and CONSCIOUSLY CHOOSE

that which we prefer.

This is the advantage... and disadvantage...

of being a freewill human beaming:

we get to choose how we feel.

If we don't exercise that choice,

that is our NOT doing, not a fault of Universe.

Every bit of human history was/is/will be

to get us to this point in our evolution

where we become AWARE of our freedom to CHOOSE how we feel

by what we choose to put our awareNESS upon.

There is neither good nor bad in Universe.

There is only what we prefer...

what FEELS better to us...

from moment to moment.

Duality then becomes the candy shop or kitchen cabinet

we get to choose our version of Heaven on Earth FROM;

moment by moment, choice by choice.

"That which we put our attention-- awareNESS-- upon

will grow stronger in our lives."

If, at the beginning of our Earthly sojourn--

not this lifetimes sojourn, but the beginning of the 'spirit into matter' sojourn...

if we didn't let our Selves forget our inherent wholeness,

every 'thing' would have been equally whole-- pure love and light.

Without something we don't prefer-- something dark--

we wouldn't have been able to decide what we DO prefer--

this lighter shade over there.

It is in this deciding what is preferable to us

that we summon Life Force

and feel the flow of it through our individual physical bodies...

in our individual, unique ways.

We feel this life force flowing through us in our physical bodies

when we feel 'good':

joy, love, appreciation, laughter, enthusiasm, clarity, passion.

If and when we put our awareness

upon any thought/thing that is not 'up to speed'

and/or in alignment with Who and What we really are-- Spirit/Love incarnate...

we feel 'bad':

anger, fear, doubt, anxiety, worry.

Certainly not what we 'thought' was The Way of Life,

but most certainly...

from the level of Wholeness...

the way it IS.

"The five colors can blind,

The five tones deafen,

The five tastes cloy.

The race, the hunt, can drive men mad

And their booty leave them no peace.

Therefore a sensible man

Prefers the inner to the outer eye:

He has his yes,-- he has his no."

~ Lao Tzu
