ROBERT: "A song honoring the sacrifices that medicine men and women make, being chosen to serve the people of the Tribe. This song is about a medicine man that married the People instead of the women he loved."
SUSITNA: "There have been many great medicine men in the history of the world. Healers, leaders, and teachers. Many sacrificed their lives for their people. All nations have someone who is looked up to with respect and honor." A medicine man or Shaman is one who conducts ceremonies, or can be an Indian doctor who treats the sick. Tribes have many names for these individuals.
