RUNNER'S DREAM TIME
ROBERT: "This song honors indigenous people of the world who are struggling to keep their traditions alive"

HOPE
SUSITNA" So many have been torn from family and culture. Some were never able to return to the way of life to which they had been born. War, government intervention, illness, or family strife all add to the sorrow of many. Whole towns that are below the poverty level. You see these sad faces on street corners of large cities or small. The parents that line up for food and clothing at handout stations. Those who have just lost their jobs and need help.
In downtown Denver I remember the old Cheyenne gentleman that sat watching as people scurried by to Coors Field for a baseball game. With eyes that once would have looked far into the prairie for buffalo he looked beyond the present to some forgotten dream with a sad smile on his face. What dream had he left to be sitting here hoping someone would drop a few coins into the basket beside him?
We all are hoping for a better and more peaceful world where all can be as one family with plenty for all."
ROBERT: "One common bond between people is the hope for a better, more peaceful world. This song is a celebration of the strength and courage we gain from our songs, dances, and prayers."

1000 MILES
ROBERT: " Many native people were removed form their home and families to be assimilated into the greater culture. This is the story of one who was disowned by his people at the end of his life. He speaks to the Creator, and the world of the need to love, accept, and honor one another"
