What was her name?

Catalina Magdalena Hoopensteiner Wallendiner Hogan Logan Bogan was her name. At least, that's how I learned it. Almost everyone who sings this old camp song has their own set of verses and a slightly different name for Catalina. If you have heard a variation of her name that's not listed in the book (see below) or some verse variations, I'd love to hear from you. Click here and send me your version. I'll post them below as often as possible!

Christina 11/5/07 --I heard:
Oh Catalina Madelina
Roonsteiner Walkenbiener, Hogan Bogan Logan was her name.
She had a daughter ten feet tall
Slept in the kitchen with her feet in the hall oh Catalina Madelina Roonsteiner
Walkenbeiner Hogan Bogan Logan was her name
She had two lips
Shaped like weiners
Used them round the house
Like a vaccuum cleaner
Oh Catalina Madelina Roonsteiner Walkenbeiner Hogan Bogan Logan was her name
She had ten hairs
Upon her greasy head
Five were alive
And the other five dead
Oh Catalina Madelina
Roonsteiner Walkenbeiner
Hogan Bogan Logan was her name
I heard this song over 22 years ago and I remember it from childhood.

--This is what my girl scout cousins taughtt me many years ago.
Madelina Catelina Rubensteinen Wallendinen Hogan Bogan Logan was her name....
She had 20 hairs on top of her head, 10 were alive and 10 were dead
Her feet were just like bathroom mats, twice as furry and just as flat
She was shaped like a record, what a sight to see, 78,45 and 33
In the middle of her face she had a nose, shaped like a faucet and dripped like
a hose
She had 2 eye in the middle of her head, one was purple and the other was red
She had 2 hips like sailing ships, one stood still while the other took trips
She had 12 teeth, or so the story goes, eight in her mouth and 4 in her nose
Those are all I can remember.. love some of the others on the site.. I will add
them to my collection !
Brenda, 10/30/2006 --I was surprised to find that the version my mother taught me wasn't in here! The verses are much the same, but the name I learned was: "Catalina Madalina Lubestina Walladina Hoka Poka Loka was her name." ("ee" sound on the "i" in the first two names, "I" on the second two") Also, the last verse was a little different in our version. We sang, very slowly and sadly, "A two-ton truck hit our Madeline", and then very quickly and cheerfully, "...and that was the end of that machine!" :)
