There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed
Fly Guy
Everyone has heard the story of the old lady and the fly. But who was that lady? And where did that fly come? And why, exactly, did she swallow the fly? All those questions will be answered in the newest Fly Guy adventure. IF YOU HAVE THE STOMACH FOR THE TRUTH!!!
A When I first began thinking about Fly Guy adventures, I did a lot of brainstorming for ideas. I made a list of everything I knew about flies. It wasn't a long list--about the length of a strip of fly paper, actually. The list included things like, "You can catch more flies with honey." That's an old expression that means, it's easier to do things you want if you behave sweet and nice. Another thing I thought of was "Shoo Fly Pie," a delicious traditional pie recipe that I featured in book #3. And, somewhere along the way, I listed the title of that old song, "There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly."
