Kathryn Janeway | Chakotay

Race: Human | Race: Human
Assumed command of USS Voyager shortly before the mission that left them stranded 70,000 light years from home. | Former Captain of a Maquis Resistance ship, Chakotay came aboard Voyager and was field commissioned as her First Officer.
How they met | ||
Janeway and Chakotay met soon after their abduction into the Delta Quadrant, and then former enemies joined forces to try to rescue two of their respective crewmembers. When Chakotay's ship was destroyed in a battle with their new common enemy, the Kazon, the remaining crew came aboard Voyager to serve with her crew in their goal of making their way back to the Alpha Quadrant. Janeway have had an interesting relationship, showing more romantic strains when the two were stranded together on an Earth-like planet in the episode Resolutions. Janeway seemds to have the attitude that she cannot become romantically involved with a crewmember, much to the frustration of fans. Who knows?

Voyager's Chief Helmsman, field commissioned after the Caretaker Incident. | Chief Engineer, formerly a Maquis Resistance fighter.
How they met | ||
Tom and B'Elanna met on a stairway deep in the caverns of the Ocampan homeworld, when he was sent in to rescue her and fellow crewmember Ensign Harry Kim. At first their relationship was strained, at best. While he seemed attracted to her from the beginning, she considered him a "pig". And she did not hesitate to let him know her thoughts.
Their friendship blossomed when they were kidnapped by a Vidiian scientist who split B'Elanna's DNA into two seperate being, one human, the other Klingon. Tom comforted the Human B'Elanna during this episode, helping her to come to grips with her emotions. Their friendship took a turn for something more when B'Elanna became affected by a Vulcan crewmember's Ponn Farr, setting off her own Blood Fever, or Klingon mating urge. Paris and Torres found themsselves stranded together deep in the caves of an alien planet, and Tom admitted to B'Elanna his feelings for her. She almost began to mate when the Vulcan showed up, and after a fight ensued, the Blood Fever was purged. In the episode Day of Honor, B'Elanna finally admitted her love for Tom. Their relationship has since been one of growth and discovery.

Voyager's Operations Officer. | Voyager's Chief Engineer
How they met | ||
Harry and B'Elanna had their first encounter in an underground hospital on the Ocampan homeworld, after being brought to the Delta Quadrant by the Caretaker. Suffering from a strange disease unknown to the Ocampans, Harry and B'Elanna attempted an escape, but found themselves overtaken by the effects of the disease just short of the surface. There, they were rescued by Paris, Neelix and Kes, and brought to the surface, eventually beaming aboard Voyager to be treated by the Doctor. Their relationship has always been one of deep friendship, B'Elanna especially feeling great loss when Harry was killed during the episode "Deadlock". But, a duplicate Harry from an alternate universe took his place, essentially the same man B'Elanna knew. |

How they met | ||
It is unknown when Joe Carey and Samantha Wildman might have met, but it is to be assumed that they met during Voyager's maiden voyage, the one that flung them to the other side of the universe. Both Carey and Wildman are married and have children, but due to their circumstances, and being so far from home, many would like to see them together, at least to ease the other's obvious loneliness. |

Race: Human | Race: Human/Borg
Voyager's Operations Officer. | Former Borg, now in charge of Astrometrics Lab
How they met | ||
Harry and Seven met shortly after Seven came aboard Voyager with other members of the Borg Collective. After her link to the Collective was severed, and the Doctor began the process by which her human DNA would assert itself, Seven found herself among a group whose complexities would elude her. Her friendship with Harry got off to a rocky start, when she observed his reactions to her nearness, and in a matter-of-fact way, suggested they copulate. Understandably, Harry was shocked by her frankness, and did not comply. The object of his fantasies, she appears even in his dreams. But, emotionally, she is still a young girl, needing to learn the basics of humanity, including a foreign concept: friendship. Harry has taken on the task of orienting her to the many aspects of relationships. |

Captain of the USS Voyager | Voyager's Chief Pilot
How they met | ||
Kathryn Janeway learned much under the tutelage of Tom Paris' father, Admiral Owen Paris, and had even served with him on the Al-Batani. She did not actually meet Adm. Paris' son until after Tom was interned at the Federation Penal Colony in New Zealand. It was there that she recruited him to assist her in finding the Maquis who had disappeared in the Badlands. She took him under her wing, bestowing a field commission of Lieutenant and making him her "personal reclamation project". Once upon a time, Tom broke the Warp 10 barrier, changed into a lizard, and took a red-head for a mate... But, that's a long, long story...
