               -3 Burns Clark Walker (1870 - 1884)

George Walker was born in Ireland and died in Pennsylvania, probably at a relatively young age. He was a farmer and married in America.
Nancy Walker (circa 1820 in PA - 1864, same) married 1st on 15 Feb 1843, Henry Moore (circa 1821 - 1849), son of William Moore and Sarah _____. Nancy married 2nd, Zephaniah Mercer (circa 1823 in PA).
Thomas Walker (11 May 1822 at Bower Hill, PA - 13 Jun 1886 at Washington Co, PA) married Elizabeth S Wilson (circa 1830, probably in Allegheny Co, PA - 23 Nov 1882 at Washington Co, PA), the daughter of William Wilson. Thomas became a carpenter and a builder, and served several terms on the Washington Borough Town Council. He was below medium height and weighed 240 pounds, which probably led to his death from heart failure. Elizabeth died of diabetes. Both are buried at the Washington Cemetery.
William Wilson Walker (2 Feb 1851 at Washington, PA - 28 Sep 1867, same) is buried beside his parents at the Washington Cemetery.
Sarah Ann Wilson Walker (15 Mar 1853 at Washington, PA - 26 Oct 1894, same) married on 9 Feb 1881, George L Caldwell (13 Dec 1860 in PA - 22 Feb 1904 at Washington, PA), son of Asbury B Caldwell and Mary Lonert. Sarah Ann died of a stroke after suffering a prolonged illness. Both are buried at Washington Cemetery in the Caldwell plot.
George Thomas Walker (7 Nov 1854 at Washington, PA - 22 Aug 1941, same) married as his 1st wife, Viola Belle "Ollie" Fulton (22 Dec 1864 at North Strabane Twp, Washington Co, PA - 6 Dec 1890), the daughter of Samuel Fulton and Margaret J Rankin. Ollie died of consumption and was buried at the Washington Cemetery. George Thomas married 2nd, Kate M. Walter (circa 1862 - 27 Sep 1896 at Wasington, PA) of Smithport, McKean Co, PA. Kate died during childbirth along with her baby. George Thomas married 3rd, Emma Jane Corrin (1861 in PA - 1 Mar 1943 at Washington, PA), the daughter of William Corrin and Eleanor Hudson.

George Thomas continued his father's carpentry business and became quite a successful builder, having constructed, among other buildings in Washington, PA, the Citizens National Bank, many churches and public schools, and several buildings on the campus of Washington & Jefferson College. He served as a Burgess of Washington Borough, was a member of the school board, and served in the Pennsylvania Legislature from 1919 to 1924. George Thomas was also an avid big game hunter and the hallway of his mansion on East Beau St. was filled with trophies. His obituary was printed on page 1 of the Washington Observer. He and all three wives are buried in the Walker plot in the Washington Cemetery.

Margaret Jane "Madge" Walker (27 Nov 1885 at Washington, PA - 3 Dec 1963 at Finleyville, PA) married on 12 Aug 1908 in a lavish affair at the home of her father, Glenn Peregrine Carson (24 Jun 1879 at Centralia, Chesterfield Co, VA - 7 Apr 1943 at East Washington, PA), son of John Irwin Carson and Josephine Margaretta Whitham. G.P. attended Washington & Jefferson College, was an all-star pitcher on the baseball team, and graduated in the Class of 1900. He became an attorney in Washington, PA and was noted for his exceptional singing voice. Madge was a graduate of the Washington Female Seminary and operated a successful real estate business, probably building on the firm established by her father-in-law. Not wishing his daughter to live "without a roof over her head", George Thomas Walker built a house next to his own mansion on East Beau St. and gave it to the couple as a wedding present. Both structures still stand, the mansion having been recently rehabilitated to its former Victorian splendor. G.P. and Madge are buried at the Washington Cemetery.
Thomas Fulton Walker (14 Jul 1889 at Washington, PA - 24 May 1903, same) is buried in the Walker plot at the Washington Cemetery.
George Thomas Walker (27 Apr 1902 at Washington, PA - 27 Jan 1946) married Esther Aileen Smith (7 Apr 1903 - 15 Dec 1977). Both are buried at the Washington Cemetery in Washington, PA.
Robert James Walker (27 Sep 1857 at Washington, PA - 9 Nov 1861, same) is buried in the Walker plot at the Washington Cemetery.
Kate Emma Walker (6 Jan 1860 at Washington, PA - 14 Feb 1863, same) is buried in the Walker plot at the Washington Cemetery.
Alice Rowena Walker (30 Nov 1862 at Washington, PA - 3 Oct 1906, same) married on 2 Oct 1884, William E. Brown (circa 1859 - ????).
Thomas Walker Brown (4 Aug 1886 at Washington, PA - ????) married Anibel _____ (Aug 1890 at Washington, PA). Anibel lived for a while as a widow in St. Petersburg, FL, then retired to the Methodist Home at Washington, PA. She passed away on 10 Sep 1995 at age 104.
Charles Mather Brown (25 May 1895 at Washington, PA).
George Walker Brown (3 Apr 1898 at Washington, PA).
Maria Jenette "Mide" Walker (16 Jan 1865 at Washington, PA -2 Apr 1904, same) married as his 1st wife on 25 Aug 1898, Samuel L Munce (Nov 1864 in PA - 18 Mar 1924 at Washington, PA), the son of William James Munce and Elizabeth Miller. Mide lived with her brother George Thomas Walker while single and was active in Washington, PA society. After their marriage, Mide and Samuel lived on one of the prosperous Munce farms of South Strabane Twp. She died of peritonitis and is buried at the Washington Cemetery.
Burns Clark Walker (23 Apr 1870 at Washington, PA - 18 Mar 1884, same) is buried in the Walker plot in the Washington Cemetery.
