METRO, as everybody call it, is the fastest and safest mean of transport in Caracas. The system has 3 different lines:
- Line 1: The longest and oldest, crosses the city from east (Estación Palo Verde) to west (Estación Propatria), and vice versa.
- Line 2: This line starts at Estación de Transferencia El Silencio (Transfer station El Silencio - connected to Line 1 Estación Capitolio) and stretches to southwest of Caracas until Estación Mamera, where there is a bifurcation. From there, tracks go to Estación Las Adjuntas and Estación Zoológico.
- Line 3: The newer one and shortest. It starts in Estación de Transferencia Plaza Venezuela (Transfer station Plaza Venezuela) and goes southwest, ending in Estación El Valle. It is very important to keep in mind that about 100 m from Estación La Bandera you'll find out Caracas main bus station (Terminal de Pasajeros de La Bandera) for those passengers traveling west of the country.
