Pared sur del Pico Bolívar.

Desde la misma Laguna de Timoncito, ésta es la pared sur del Pico Bolívar, con su cumbre en la parte más superior de la fotografía, en el centro.

La falta de puntos de referencia hacen ver a esta pared engañosamente pequeña: Tiene en realidad unos 250 m de alto, y el camino sube serpenteando justamente por la mitad. Nótese además el color oscuro del cielo, debido a lo delgado de la atmósfera a esta altura.

From the Laguna de Timoncito, this is the south face of Pico Bolívar. Its summit is just at the top of photograph, at center.

Lack of referential points hide the true size of this wall: It is 250 m (820 ft) tall, and path goes in zigzag right in the middle. Please take notice of dark sky, caused by the thin atmosphere.
