Construyendo el techo

El uso del bejuco (menda) es fundamental en esta cultura. El constructor lo utiliza para atar apretadamente pequeñas varas transversales a las vigas principales, que junto con hojas de palma constituyen un techo a prueba de agua.

The use of rattan (menda) is fundamental in this culture. The builder uses it to tie tightly small transverse rods to main beams. This rods plus palm leafs form a waterproof roof.
