4kids

Hi! My story is somewhat difficult and emotional. As you know I have 4 children, two older girls and 2 small boys. As the girls are "raised", so to speak, it's the boys that drive me crazy now. Well, I am the one that stays at home, handles the house and doles out discipline. Usually I am fair, but firm. A couple months ago, we found out my sister-in-law had stage 3, small cell, lung cancer. She is only in her early 50's, quit smoking over 15 years ago and one of the greatest persons I have ever met. The entire family is devastated. One day we found out that certain treatments might be working and we were thrilled. That night, we prayed, as we do every night, for God's help and blessing. The next day, my 8 year old came home from school. I was not in a particularly wonderful mood, as his 4 yr. old brother had broken a light, killed all the goldfish by feeding them the entire container of food and dumped 300 pieces of Legos' down the steps. So when Billy came running in, I just felt drained. But then, something happened. He just stood in front of me, smiling. I asked him why he was so happy, was it a test, a new friend? He said, "Mommy, guess what?" I guess he sensed my mood and said, "Mommy, it's all gonna be better. We prayed for Ciocia (Polish for Aunt), and she got a little better, in school I asked Sister if we could pray for her, so maybe she'll get all better." Well, at that moment I realized that we must be doing something right. The true and pure innocense of a child that was taught to put their hope, love, trust and belief in God came barreling down on me with such force, I believe my child taught me. I can now see, even clearer, how important it is to strenghten our child's faith, to stick to our guns and never become lax in love and guidance. I feel really proud of my son. He has shown me a whole different prospective of things. My day, and life, took a turn for the better. 4kids

Thanks to you 4kids... My Child Advocacy Program is off to a start. And, what a beautiful lesson to learn in the beginning. I will always cherish this story. Love, Wild
