Night Terrors

Incumbus Nightmares. Usually occur 30 Minutes after falling asleep. One can not distinguish a night terror from reality. It seems very real. Night terrors can be mild to severe. They are very common in children. Adults sometimes experience night terrors as a result of traumatic experiences or Post Traumatic Stress. Night terrors do not occur in R.E.M. sleep.

Nightmares

A bad dream that occurs early in the morning. One awakes recognizing immediately that it was only a dream. Nightmares occur during R.E.M sleep.

Narcolepsy

Falling asleep with no warning and immediately going into R.E.M. sleep. Becoming excited or upset will bring an episode on. Treatment involves the use of stimulants.

Somnambulism

Sleep Walking. You can wake some one up. It is not dangerous. When experiencing R.E.M. sleep, the dreamer is paralyzed. So, a sleep walker is actually not dreaming. People have been known to accomplish fairly complex tasks during an episode, (ie. Starting a car) here lies the danger.

Insomnia

Inability to fall asleep. The most common sleep disorder.
Caffeine is one of the largest factors.
