A Magic Dream
by JM Longhorn
A sorcerer was teaching me magic. My first trick was making a card
disappear and reappear. Later at the mall I had to show off to my friends.
I made a friend dissappear and reappear. Some music began to play. "That's
fun," she said, "make me dissapear while I'm dancing!" I made her dissappear
again, but could not make her reappear. I tried over and over and finally a
spastic shadow of her appeared and was dancing frantically and screaming. It
faded away. I tried again and her crumpled body appeared. She was blind and
crippled, and yelling, "My soul, I've lost my soul !" As my friends dropped
to their knees and started feeling around for it, I ran to the payphone and
called the sorcerer for help. "You fool ! You are not yet capable of
preforming magic on humans ! There is nothing I can do now. you will never
be allowed to do magic again, fool !"
Hi JM...A Magic Dream, this is wonderful. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to share it with others. All I could think of was freud's statement..."Actually we can never give up anything; we only exchange one thing for another." =) Wild
